Eriksimon
The Apple Discussion fora have been offline for almost a day for 'maintenance'. After it came back up today it was obvious that it had been further iOS-ified, and that at least three important features that helped replying volunteers have been removed: you can no longer see which topics you have read, and which have new replies (was normal - bold, like here), you can no longer edit a post after replying (here for 24 or 120 hours), and there's no info on the topics page on how many replies a topic has. On the restricted level 6-and-up forum (populated with those (experienced) users who have earned 8,000 points or more voluntarily answering questions) lots of volunteers have, complained, ranted, tutted, asked, pleaded, threatened, hoped and finally, in disgust, thrown the proverbial towel. As have I. Even more painful/ironic is that one of the issues that were said to be tackled with this 'overhaul', namely the spamwaves on certain ADC fora, has not been stopped at all. Wow, that's bad. Hopefully they realize how much better the experience is when having those features. J.
JonathanRace
You'd think they would have asked for a little input from some of these guys who put in so much work for the forum instead of juts ploughing through with some changes that aren't benefiting anyone
DaveRobinson
Hi, A long time browser over at the Apple Discussions site and after giving it some time to get used to the new setup it seems to be a step backwards. Let's hope in time they reintroduce some of the old features.
el-bo
One of the spam threads on that screen grab is titled "how to control wife by mantra"
