CowboyClyde
Hey all, Recently, I've been trying to read more but the books have not really been related to music. If I want to get better at production or learn more about music business, I probably should be reading more books in this area! SO, my questions is for all the book readers out there: What are some awesome, MUST-READ books out there that are related to music? They can be anything! Biographies of your favorite artists, music business books, production books, sound synthesis books, etc. What are music-related books that you've read that you really want to share, helped you improve as a musician, or were just flat out entertaining? If you don't have any book recommendations, what are some articles or websites that really boosted your skills as a producer? Thanks! Badcatblackcat
On the just flat out entertaining front (also quite informative), I really enjoyed David Byrne's book How Music Works (2012).
JonathanRace
There's quite a few interesting psychology books related to music. My favourite was "This is your brain on music"
David Watt
Focal Press http://www.focalpress.com/audio/ is a good place to start. Many of their texts are on first-year undergrad music and sound courses.
Emre
Hey pal, I can recommend reading the following books: Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio - Mike Senior Mixing with your mind - Michael Paul Stavrou The Mixing Engineer´s Handbook - Bobby Owsinski Sound Reinforcement Handbook - Yamaha Mixing Audio: Concepts, Practices and Tools - Roey Izhaki Although these are not really specific to sound design, your sound will benefit from applying what you´ll find there. Cheers!

Also: Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio - Mike Senior Mixing Audio: Concepts, Practices and Tools - Roey Izhaki Principles of Orchestration - R.
