I picked up this tip from another forum. All you have to do is open the following file in a text editor:

/Applications/Logic Pro.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/HelpMenu.plist

The entries here can be edited to point at PDFs, HTML files, web pages etc.

...and you can even edit that plist to include
<dict>
<key>Title</key>
<string>Logic Pro Help Search</string>
<key>URL</key>
<string>http://www.logicprohelp.com/search.php</string>
</dict>
:)

Thanks guys, this is superior!.

I included LPH Search and Offline version of the help :lol:

Manuals

Postby ScottB601 » Mon Dec 06, 2010 10:52 am

This is an old thread, but it's new to me.

I did the following for my Korg Oasys manuals, since the most recent version did not have a print form. I am very satisfied with the results. You need a pdf version of any manual, or anything, for that matter.

Go to http://www.fedex.com/us/office/
then click "FedEx Office® Print Online" and follow the prompts, pay the $$, and pick it up the next day. Excellent, plastic-coated wire-bound double sided print manuals with clear vinyl cover on the front and black vinyl cover on the back. I prefer printed manuals, especially for a little light reading when not at a computer.

The 1st link. I copy/pasted it, and it says this webpage is not found. I'm using chrome and I read that someone else was having the same problem.

Ok do you mean file:///Applications/Logic%20Pro.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/logicpro_help/index.html ? That's not a web link, it does not correspond to a webpage, it's just a link to the manual that you have inside your Logic Pro app package on your local hard drive. It should work with any standard Logic Pro install.

Do you have Logic Pro 9 installed? Did you move or rename it?

You should be able to access the manual following the same path manually in your Finder. If you cannot follow that path in your Finder, then your browser won't find the file either. To follow the path manually, go to /Applications/ and control-click Logic Pro, choose "Show Package Contents" and follow the rest of the link (Contents/Resources/English.lproj/logicpro_help/).

If you want to access the online manual then go to http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/

My path looks like this:

file:///Applications/Logic%20Pro.app/Contents/Resources/logicpro.help/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/index.html

I'm running the version of Logic Pro purchased from the App Store (9.1.7).
Logic Pro 9.1.7 • Mac OS 10.6.8 • Mac Mini 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo • 8GB RAM • MBox 2 Pro

Thanks Johnny, they must have changed the path - the one you gave doesn't work on the Mac I'm on right now, which was installed from the Logic Studio 2.0 DVDs.
