Pink Floyd "Echoes" Ping

Postby Higgs F. Boson » Sun Jan 02, 2011 3:24 pm

Here is a patch for the ES1 that duplicates the "ping" sound at the beginning of Pink Floyd's "Echoes."

I used a couple of basic native Logic plug-ins (overdrive, a-verb) so it should work with any version from Logic 8 on.

I think the original is the B above middle C.

Echos ping

I believe the sound is a Hammond B-3 with the 3rd harmonic percussion on normal volume, decay on long, all drawbars on the upper manual in the off position and the Leslie on fast. At least that is my understanding....

It won't play in my Logic Pro 9 for some reason. Any suggestions

make sure you're putting it in the right folder. works on my end with L9. I put the .pst in:

mac HD/library/application support/logic/plugin settings/ES1

shows up with all of my other presets in ES1.
