I just want to save/export [SOLVED]

Postby Tipi » Wed Nov 23, 2011 1:14 pm

I'm new to sound track pro but not logic. I'm trying to convert part of an audio file to a sample. The audio file is from a movie I made. I'd like to save it, possibly exporting the sample to logic.

Is this possible with sound track pro?

I've searched the manual but I can't find anything relevant. I did try and save the audio file as a wav. but when I played it in logic it was inaudible and the wave form was just a giant block of black, not like it should be.

Many thanks in advance for your expertise.

Don't save the file with a bit depth of 32, Logic can't handle it. Save it as 24bit.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply :)

The audio file works in logic now but it's been sped up chipmunk style. I didn't mess around in sound track pro and I can't understand why that happened.

What went wrong?

Check that the file's sample rate matches the sample rate in the logic project (Settings >Audio).
