Korg Microkey Modwheel not transmitting MIDI

Hello. I have a Korg microkey and logic pro 9. For some reason the modwheel will not transmit. I've got it set up to be control # 1. It works if I do a midi learn but it's still not transmitting "MIDI." This is a problem for assigning "mod wheel" as a control in synths. Any ideas?? Thanks!

If you assigned your mod wheel in Logic's controller assignments, then the MIDI data is hijacked before it even reaches Logic's physical input object. So you won't be able to see/access that data other than for what you've assigned it to do.

If you don't know whether or not that's your current situation, try choosing Logic Pro > Preferences > Control Surfaces > Bypass All Control Surfaces, and then see if you can use your mod wheel as expected?
