Logic Pro - Metro Station Synths

I heard a song called "Aint So High" by Metro Station and I really do like the synths in the song and I would like to recreate them in Logic Pro. I'm not trying to copy this band, but I think it's safe to say that I'm heavily influenced by them. I'll tell you all the parts of the song where the synths I like are. 1. The first twelve seconds of the song....I think it's a square wave synth. Not the bass though.
2. 0:13-0:15 The instrument that sounds close to a sitar...it might be some Asian instrument or a legitimate synth.
3. 1:45-1:55 The synth playing the F Major notes.

Just point me in the right direction on this...tell me what you all think I do regarding things like synth settings, oscillators, waveforms, instruments, and so on. Thanks

1. Drown a pulse wave with a thinner width in reverb and stereo delay, and add a lot of portamento/glide.
2. FM Synthesis or perhaps Rings Modulation could create a glassy sound like this. Try using ES2's sine FM oscillator, with various wavetables for oscillator 2.
3. Talk modulate/wah a waveform.
