Cant update mainstage 2

I loaded mainstage and it said that there was an update available. I didn't wan't to do the update just then so I selected "don't update" figuring I would just update later when I had more time. I've since loaded mainstage and it no longer has the pop up informing me of the update. I've gone through the menu's on mainstage and tried searching for software updates through my mac but cant figure out how to get the new update.

Did you buy it on the Mac App Store or is it the boxed version?

I downloaded it from apple app store.

Launch the App Store and look for your updates.
