EXS24 Kurzweil Bass

Postby Andy M. » Thu May 24, 2007 12:25 am

Hi all, I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd start by sharing a file with you.

This is a bass patch from my Kurzweil K2500 which I sampled and mapped into EXS24 and Reason's NN19 sampler. I had to do this a while ago when my Kurz went for a repair. Anyway, I hope you like it.

Cheers, Andy

Thanks!! It sounds pretty good! But the lowest samples have a little bit of distortion on the attack. Too bad.... still sounds great and punchy.

Thanks SO MUCH really, my K2000R has a broken effects chip and I have left it to collect dust, and countless tracks prior logic 7 had this bass, many are jams to be realized and can now be put into there original state easily before moving on with or without the original K2 bass sound.

Quality Bottom End

thanks again

Glad you're liking it.. :D

David, I did notice a couple of clipped samples when I sampled it but I thought I got rid of them (Edited in Soundforge). I will check again and if necessary, sample again.

Cool! It's not something I see on the waveform, but something I hear in the sound.

There's a text file in the ZIP file that explains how to use it.

Hey, that sounds remarkably like the bass used in Chains by Fleetwood Mac.

Is it the one?

Cool sounding bass, thx for that!
