ckp
I have a bunch of akai samples and programs on my hard drive. I want to convert them into exs format but the problem is the akai convert utility is apparently waiting for a cd to be loaded.. Is there a way i can convert without the cd?? emilenitrate
If you have Toast you can use the mount disc image option from Utilities. I've done this a few times. If you don't have Toast you might be able to do it with the Mac disc utility but I've never tried it. You need to get to the point where your Mac sees the disc or image and gives you a non-readable disc prompt, to which you select ignore and hit the EXS24 convert Akai option. Good luck, sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's a bit tricky. Also, CDXtract is great for converting troublesome Akai to EXS24. - Emile
