SteveM57
This is driving me nuts; Setup 1; MacbookPro 17"/4Gb RAM/7200 HDD) Leopard (latest update) Logic 8 (latest update) ProTools LE8 (latest update Altiverb - Runs OK in Logic & PT Superior Drums 2.0 - Runs OK in Logic & PT Addictive Drums (with Adrenaline update) - Runs OK in Logic & PT Setup 2; New iMac 21.5"/4Gb RAM/7200 HDD) Snow Leopard (latest update) Logic 8 (now upgraded to 9.1) Altiverb - Runs OK in Logic 8 or 9 Superior Drums 2.0 - Runs OK in Logic 8 or 9 Addictive Drums (with Adrenaline update) - Causes Logic 8 & 9 to crash - see below I'm able to install AD OK and I get a "successfully installed" message. However, when I try to put AD into an instrument track Logic crashes. I then have to force quit to completely exit Logic. The message I get is one of those irritating "Logic has unexpectedly quit" messages with no hint of a reason why. I've re-downloaded AD twice including the update and re-installed but the result is always the same. XLN Audio say they've tested it on their systems and that it works fine. Their last suggestion was to check if I have read & write access to the AD folders which I do. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong and how to fix it? Thanks in advance, SteveM57
jackballed
As I'm sure this if of no help, but I'm running AD everyday and haven't had a single issue. You might want to check your audio drivers (if you're not using the Built-In) and/or your any MIDI drivers.
SteveM57
Thanks for the suggestion but wouldn't out-of-date drivers cause problems with all plug-ins? I'm using a MOTU Ultralite III with the latest drivers, an EMU X-Board 61 as a controller and no other external MIDI devices. I definitely have the latest updates for everything installed. SteveM57
This problem has been solved. I cleaned AD from the HD, every file and folder that I could find related to AD, then re-downloaded it from XLN's site, re-installed and now it's working.
