Peter Schwartz is a Los Angeles based film composer, orchestrator and arranger. He got his start in the music business in his native New York, just a few years after graduating as a Piano Major from the esteemed Manhattan School of Music.
His love for the world of recording and the magic of the recording studio began with his early forays into songwriting and producing. Later, his work as a product specialist for the Synclavier brought him into the arena of session work, which he thoroughly enjoyed. An avid synthesist, his reputation as a sound programmer grew, in part, from his work as a freelance design consultant and sound programmer for many Korg synths, including the M1, T1, Wavestation, Prophecy, O1W, and later the Oasys and Kronos workstations.
In only a few short years, Peter's musicianship and abilities as a keyboard player, synthesist, and orchestral arranger would lead him to amass an enviable list of credits with A-list artists on projects ranging from dance remixes to adult contemporary. Additionally, Peter enjoyed working as the musical director for such musical luminaries as Enya, David Bowie, The Pet Shop Boys, even Hanson!
Peter's film and TV scoring credits include Fox, Warner Bros., Disneytoons, Mattel, and The Gates Foundation, as well as numerous independent films. You can hear Peter's work and view his extensive credits by visiting his website, www.peterschwartzmusic.com
