Here are a couple of suggestions:
1 Reassign the key commands to something your more comfortable using (option K in Logic).
2 Try Dejamenu which will allow you to call up menu bar items anywhere on the screen, which is quicker than going to the top of the monitor.

3 If you want to remember Logic's preset key command definitely check out KeyCue - the more you use it the more you remember the commands for every app on your mac. Definitely a cool option.

Hope this helps.

That's brilliant -- but how do you keep all the clutter off your desktop so you can read it? (Serious question ... I've always got a lot of desktop clutter, but I wouldn't mind learning new habits!)

Has pdfs for logic 8. I went through and made two sheets for the key commands that I use most often from these and just taped them to my desk or wall.
Best,
AB

Oh, I know how to hide programs. (In fact, I usually ctrl-tab to the Finder and then opt-cmd H to hide everything else, since I'm often running multiple applications.)
But I've always got a bunch of files and folders sitting out on the desktop. I thought maybe there was a quick way to hide/show all that stuff. But it's probably just a matter of keeping the desktop clean and learning to use the documents folder and the file hierarchy. Not really my style, so I'll probably just stick with the three pages I've got pinned to the wall here.

Hey, that's the key! I can organize all my quick-reference materials into one or two full-screen-format PDFs, keep them open in Preview, and jump to them instantly the next time I need a quick reminder about the key command for Delete Unselected Events within Selection, or what the key-modified mouse action is for setting all velocities to the same value.
This is going to be good!

hey i had the same problem when i first started on logic
My friend introduced me to this company that sells keyboard covers and stickersets that have the shorcuts printed on them! If you dont wanna spend alot of money on the whole silicone cover thing they do a cheaper easier version with just stickers.
I bought them about 4 months ago and they have worked brilliantly ever since!
