David Nahmani
Try to quit Logic, delete /Library/Application Support/ProApps/Logic Studio System ID and start Logic again. Enter your serial, see if it "sticks" this time?
dizzynz
i have system ids for express 8 and logic studio should there be three as i have gone 8 express up to 8 pro to 9 ? thanks for the tip
prjkt
there should only be the two, as the one for Studio 2 (Logic 9) replaces that of Logic 8 (while still allowing you to use L8 aswell)

I have Logic Express and Logic Pro installed on this machine with two different serials, and only one "Logic Studio System ID".

David Nahmani
I'm just thinking... seems like in Logic 9 the serial is actually saved in /Library/Application Support/ProApps/ProAppsSystemID so try moving that one to the desktop, then restart Logic and enter your serial again? See if that helps?
