Jope
Hi all, there is one fact about mp3 files that is commonly ignored but sometimes emerges to be important. Although people pay attention to the bit rate of an mp3 because its sound quality highly depends on it, an mp3 has a specific sample rate as well. I learned this because a certain mp3 player used in a website failed to care about the sample rate and played a song in e minor instead of f# minor (and of course slower than intended), and this is approximately the frequency ratio between 48kHz and 44.1 kHz. My advice is to make sure your music is at 44.1 kHz before mp3 coding. If your Logic song is set to a higher sample rate, Logic will use the highest sample rate available for mp3, and that's 48kHz. So bounce to aiff or comparable file types where you can choose the sample rate, set it to 44.1kHz and perform the mp3 coding afterwards to get what seems to be standard.
