Voltcontrol909
I've got three tracks in my mix that keep returning to +6.0. I bring their faders down and after the tracks play about 8 measures the faders return to +6.0. How can I stop this from happening?
LarsGranat
Perhaps you've got some automation going on there?

Voltcontrol909
I tried deleting all track automation from the entire project the faders still jump back to +6.
Beer Moth
Set the tracks to Off instead of Read or whatever. Or write over with new automation for volume. Maybe.
shivermetimbers
If it isn't your automation, then check the event edit and hyper edit sections. Some how this 'other' form of automation is setting your fader. In the Arrange window check Region content in the View drop down and look for those vertical lines. In the Matrix edit window, open hyperdraw for volume and you should see it there too. (I'm in LP7 but the idea is the same in 8 )

pantomimeHorse
As an aside to this thread, I would like to point out that the symptoms described by the OP can arise when you import a commercial MIDI file from certain sources. - The folk who peddle MIDI files on the web often see fit to include hefty #7 controller info at the start of the file which can break both monitors and ears if you're not careful ! ! ! - Always rack down the main outs gain when auditioning a MIDI file for the first time.
