dimitri
I know how to quantize an entire region a by a certain percentage using the inspector, but what if I want to open the piano roll, select two notes in a region, and quantize just those two notes 50% ? I havent seen anything about this anywwhere, it seems to be a pretty important feature. Thanks for the help
David Nahmani
Set the region quantize-strength to the desired value, then in the Piano Roll, select the desired note(s) and use the quantize tool or the quantize menu+button in the title bar. You are however limited to ONE quantize-strength setting for the whole region, but you can choose which notes are quantized and which aren't. dimitri
Ok that works. What I'm used to is using a strength around 30%, selecting some notes and quantizing that one or more times. But this way I can only quantize any note 30% once. Is there any way to get around this?
David Nahmani
Can't think of a way to do exactly what you're asking... I think you should look into nudge functions. Control-click the note and look at the shortcut menu, you'll find all sorts of options for nudging, and the corresponding key commands are listed right in the menu, to the right of each function. dimitri
Well that's ok, I guess as far as moving a note further than that, I'll just move it manually or nudge it. Thanks so much for the help! I actually just ordered your book from amazon a few minutes ago looks i'll be around this forum a lot less
