Although not an entirely new feature, the need for Full PDC that actually works and also delays MIDI tracks without having to use the External instruments feature. ________________________ LP9, 8-Core Mac Pro, 10.5.7, 10gigs RAM||||Apple Certified Trainer - Logic Pro 9

| I totally agree. Maybe even have an instrument track that you can set up to specific outboard midi gear that would show up in the audio i/o and sends. |

| I'd like to have full PDC when using multiple auxes on the same bus, and when sending the output of one bus or aux to another bus. I'm starting to do complicated mixes, and these two issues are real buggers. |

You mean 'External Instruments' plug-in if I understand your request. This is possible. Supposedly it is 'the fix' for PDC problems and MIDI, although it becomes quite difficult to work that way on complex mixes that already have processing on them. ________________________ LP9, 8-Core Mac Pro, 10.5.7, 10gigs RAM||||Apple Certified Trainer - Logic Pro 9

If you use Logic's External Instrument-Plugin to route the audio outputs from the external MIDI device, the audio stream from the MIDI device is sadly not compensated during playback.
But If you route the audio output from the external MIDI device to the input on the audio hardware and monitor them through the Logic Input Object, the audio stream from the MIDI device is compensated during playback.

I think the PDC is backwards. Logic should read the processed tracks in advance to have time to calculate and make them sound in time... delay everything to match the pluggins latency is absurd and leads to lots of uncomfortable situations... the busses compensation also can be done reading in advance; altough a little more complicated still it´s the way it should be.
no chance to be heard I´m affraid |

While they are at it to me it's vital that different audio devices with different mixers are compensated against each other (for example TDM mixer and Direct TDM mixer i.e. TDM and Native) ________________________ OSX 10.6.3, MacPro 2.93 8-Core 'Nehalem', Logic Pro 9.1.1 Mackie Control Universal, UAD Quad (All Plugins)

Doesn't seem like the new 'low latency mode' is a real fix.
Pretty bummed that apple didn't come up with a solution.
That said, they fixed just about everything else important I could have asked for.
I'm just surprised as this was on the top of the list for some time now!
Anybody else out there feel the same? ________________________ LP9, 8-Core Mac Pro, 10.5.7, 10gigs RAM||||Apple Certified Trainer - Logic Pro 9
