Overriding a Plug-in's default setting

This week's tip is super-easy and can be really usefull.

We all have our favorite plug-in that we use all the time as our secret weapon. Wouldn't it be great if you could change the default setting to suit your taste? Then you would only have to insert your plug-in on a track, and your favorite setting would be automatically loaded. Kinda like an Autoload for your plug-in. Well, you can!

Insert your plug-in on any track, and open it. Under the bypass button, click and hold the little down-arrow and select "Save Setting As". Name this setting "#default" (without the quote characters). Voila! Next time you open the plug-in, this setting will be preset instead of the Logic factory-default.

Note: Before you override the factory-default, you might want to save it under another name, something like "Factory Default", so you can still access it!
