I have Logic 7.1.1 on a G5 2.3Ghz Dual with 4GB and want to use some of my external hardware fx with my MOTU 828mk2 and logic 7. I have been told that i can use my old external fx and compressors with my MOTU rather like a analog desk. I have a Behringer Composer and Alesis 3630 compressor , an Alesis Midiverb 4 FX unit and an external MIDI flter unit. Does anyone know the connections to the MOTU in order to get these working in Logic 7 (and the Logic 7 settings!) and will these fx be rendered on a "realtime" render and cpatured on a mixdown? David Nahmani Posted September 5, 2006 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Use the 'i/o' plug-in (found under 'helper'). It allows you to route the signal from the channel strip to a pair of outs on your MOTU (cabled to your external rack's audio in), and then tap audio back from a pair of audio in on your MOTU (where the rack's audio outs are cabled).
