vanhaze
Someone can re generate this crash ? : - Record a midi region with some notes in it. - Open Piano Roll for that region - Open Transform Window , with preset "fix velocity" - drag the velocity number in Transform Window. - BANG: Logic Crash ! I am on Logic Pro 9.1.3 , system 10.6.4 , macpro early 2008, MOTU 2408 MKII This same crash happened also on my work, with the same soft configuration. and Digi HD 2 hardware. Hope 2 hear from you. David Nahmani
Can't reproduce - working fine here. Maybe try this: 1) Quit Logic 2) Drag ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.plist to your desktop 3) Restart Logic You may have to reset some preferences, like your audio devices. Then try again? npapps
Yes! Funny, I was actually looking to see if anybody else had this issue after upgrading to 9.1.3 and saw this post. I had this crash happen to me a few times. It happens in the Transform window when I drag to change the values. If I manually type in numbers it appears to work fine. I just tried it again to make sure. And yes, it crashed for me 4 times in a row. This is how I did it: Open the midi editor in your project that contains midi notes. (obviously) Click the "function" button in the midi editor and then select transform. Choose the first option, "fixed velocity." Now, try grabbing the number value and drag up to increase it. It should crash although sometimes not immediately. I use this feature a lot, as I'm sure a lot of us do, and before the update I didn't experience this. Thanks! -Nick
redlogic
No crash here in an Empty Project. I'm still on 10.5.8 though. Maybe it's a Snow Leopard thing?
npapps
Hmm, not sure, maybe. I have 10.6.4 in 64-bit mode on a new Imac I7 with 12 gigs of ram. It was consistently crashing though. Seems more like a coding glitch rather than a lack or ram/resources thing.
Surreal
trying to select this (poorly named) parameter set crashes logic 8 out of 10 times. (just after a fresh restart it works) screenshot of a parameter set named 'parameter set'
Eriksimon
Yep, reliably reproducable here. I dragged down the value, and I got an immediate screenflash and the "unexpectedly quit" message. Tested some more, and if you make the exact same transformer via the initialized set, it does not happen - only with the preset and only if you drag the value it crashes. The weird thing is though that I cannot crash it again. The first time I tried, it crashed immediately, but I just tried a second time, and it works as expected. I am going to quit Logic, reopen and see what happens... Nope... no crash... Very strange... cannot make Logic crash again this way - as if it has become "immune" after the first attempt... David Nahmani
It sounds like a Pro App Support issue. Check your Software Update window and make sure you use the latest Pro App Support?
