remedy
I have a song that is running multiple audio units but I have fired up logic today and many of them are disabled, they have that diagonal line running thru them. They are omnisphere, zebra 2 and Battery 3. The strange thing is that these are passing validation and can be opened up on new tracks, but they wont open on the tracks that are already using them, meaning I have lost the patch settings for each of them! Actually I am looking back at multiple old songs, all of them have miscellaneous audiounits that are not loading! Does anyone know whats going on here? Thanks. Jordi Torres
I think this started happening after an OSX update i recently did via automatic updates... Oh...I see. You mention old projects, did you recently upgrade your OS and/or Logic (I'm talking about going from 10.4.x or 10.5.x to 10.6.x, not updating software via Software Update). Some people have run into that, here's an example: http://logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=281916&sid=e6d7dac433f4d71366ac5448a47ba589 If you start a new empty project and instantiate any of those plug-ins you shouldn't have any problems. To recover the settings you had for them in the old projects, you could try the selective track import feature. J.
remedy
I can open the same disabled instrument on the same song, on a different track and it will load fine, duplicating the track that has the disabled instrument doesn't work. Jordi Torres
I can open the same disabled instrument on the same song, on a different track and it will load fine Yes, of course. duplicating the track that has the disabled instrument doesn't work. I'm talking about importing (or at least trying...I can't guarantee it will work as I haven't had this problem myself) into a new project vie selective track import, from the browser: http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/Art/S09/S0951_PRO_ImportBrowser.png J. remedy
thanks for the suggestion, but yeh it didnt work, the plugin is still disabled. I would love to know what is actually going on!
Jordi Torres
it didnt work, the plugin is still disabled. So you're saying that when you import it from the other project (into a new empty project), the plug-in shows up disabled? That's f'd up. I would love to know what is actually going on! You never answer my question about having upgraded your system and/or logic...upgrade, not update. I don't suppose you have a time machine backup to take you back to when it was working?...Perhaps a clone of your HD before the problem appeared (if in fact you upgraded the OS)? J. remedy
i remember there was an Apple automatic update recently, that did a few updates, after that logic didnt work. Is there a way to see what was updated?

Jordi Torres
Is there a way to see what was updated? Leopard or Snow Leopard?
