  1. OK - very cool. I will check into this. Thanks for the tip and your time. Much appreciated.
  2. I think the project is corrupt.... are you suggesting importing all the files into a new project and starting the mix from scratch?
  3. Ahhhh... I am not correct, the glitch is across all tracks in a specific place. With or without all plugins engaged. I bounced a mix yesterday and the glitch is not there. It has appeared since.... I updated Big Sur?
  4. Even more of an update.... Strangely enough - the glitch is specific to the area of the mix, not the track itself, sliding the track to the left or right (solo'ed) creates a glitch in the track in whatever part of the track happens to align with that region. Track is solo'ed and now on a new audio track with no plugins.
  5. Would appreciate any help or suggestions and am happy to supply more info if necessary.
  6. Update, The glitch or dropout seem to be specific to the area of the mix and is only happening to two specific tracks. When I move those two tracks away from that part of the mix (so they are completely out of synch with the rest of the tracks) and solo them, the glitching is gone. Turning all plugins on or off doesn't seem to change the issue, only moving the tracks out of their synch in the mix makes the glitch disappear. As I stated above, I have re-imported the tracks and the glitch appears when I slide them into the correct region of the mix. I have tried re-booting...
  7. Hi, I've looked on the forums but can't seem to find this issue addressed (though it must be common) I am importing audio files which are clean and free of dropouts or clicks) When I bring them into my mix, I am getting a dropout or click in a specific region. I re-imported the clean audio into my mix and the same dropout /click appeared. I have been working on this mix for a few days and this issue has just appeared. I would have thought that re-importing the clean audio would solve the problem, but it hasn't.... thoughts?
  8. Thanks - I've already set that to Playback. I appreciate your help.
  9. I have my buffer size set as high as it will go (since I am only mixing and not concerned with latency - I did this early on ) so it is currently set to 1024 samples. I will continue to check for plugin updates.
  10. I'm trying to recreate the conditions now and the "spike" occurs in the processing threads - If I am in a "dense" part of the mix when I hit play, one or two cores (core 2 and 3 most often) jump from 30% to 100% instantly. However, it doesn't happen every time. Also, I've noticed that sometimes both of those cores jump to 100% but Logic continues to run. I've also noticed that sometimes the "System Overload" warning is triggered and Logic shuts down, but the Performance Meter is not showing any of the cores hitting 100%! Also - whilst on a phone call, with Logic open but not running the song ( the only other program open is Firefox) I'm seeing cores 2 and 4 jump from 25/30% to 50% sporadically and for no apparent reason. Now, 20 minutes later, only 3 cores are showing activity and they are stable as follows 1=O% 2=25% 3= 35% 4= 20% Forgive me if this is waaaaaay too much information, I'm not sure what any of this means, but thought I would include it in case it is relevant. Thanks for your response. =SF=
  11. I know there has been a lot of discussion about this problem and I have read / implemented many of the standard solutions that minimize this issue (Buffering etc.). I'm just wondering if there are any other M1 / Big Sur users experiencing CPU overload on a regular basis? I am wondering if because some of my plugins (Softube, Plugin Alliance) are still not officially M1 compatible and running Logic with Rosetta this may be the cause of the overloads? I would be interested to hear other forum member's experience. I am currently working on a live recording (4 piece band / 14 inputs) which I am saving onto my hard drive - I understand that saving to an external hard drive may help this issue, but other than this, I have initiated all the other "fixes" that I can find on the forum threads to minimize this issue. Would be happy with any input on this. =SF=
  12. I recently added a Behringer X Touch One to my setup, so that I could have a fader to work with. I have been overall very happy with the interface and all the useful assignable buttons that have sped up my workflow. An unexpected perk is the combination of Jog Wheel and "scrub" button, which I find very useful for editing, however, today out of the blue, whilst using my usual method of selecting a channel to edit, then clicking the scrub button, I am hearing two audio sources whilst scrubbing the selected track. I am trying to edit an electric guitar phrase and as expected - when I hit the "scrub" button I can hear that track as I move the jog wheel. What is unexpected, is hearing the lead vocal over top. Also, the section I am editing is a guitar solo, so there isn't any vocal in this section of the tune. Finally, whilst the "scrubbed" guitar sound responds to the speed of the jog wheel , the vocal over top is playing back at regular speed, almost like I have cycle on as well (I don't). Am mystified.... any thoughts anyone? =SF=
  13. BTW - I just figured out what you were referring to with "Cut / Insert time" so that will speed things up - still have to figure out the "Melodyne" issue (As detailed above).
