  1. Now that live events are coming back, my wife and I are working on getting a new live rig setup. We are running a Nord Stage 3, a Boss RC-505mk2 looper, and a Helix for guitar. In a perfect world, we would have these set to automatically program change, set tempos, etc. across all of the instruments. It's a bit of a pain because we have to set 3 external instruments for every single patch we make. I've tried setting the Externals at the concert level, but then any Program Change command I send on a patch level affects all the other patches at the same time. I can't find an override parent setting for that particular command. Any ideas, or do I just need to suck it up and make individual ext. instruments for each patch? This seems like a UX flaw ... if we ever add another instrument, need to change midi channels, etc., it would be nice to have a global way to do that and then be able to granularly update the settings for each patch. I'm on Mainstage 3.5.3, and any tips are greatly appreciated!
  2. Hi David, thanks for the quick reply. I've been playing with it more today, and it appears that I somehow stacked multiple track stacks on top of each other. So I had parts from other comps "below" the main comp. When I tried expanding the take stack, I had to use Opt-Click or it wouldn't close again, and I figured out that I had multiple takes on top of each other. The same thing happened to a vocal we were cutting. It's so weird to me that Logic allows you to just stack things on top of each other like that . . . assuming there has to be a setting enabled somewhere that isn't standard? Once I deleted the two "Comp A" comps covering the main one, everything has seemed to work better.
  3. I'm pretty new to Logic and looked around on the forums before asking this, so apologies if it's been answered already. I didn't see it anywhere. Screenshot attached ---- essentially, when I use Quick Swipe comping, the changes are made, but there are also more translucent blue changes that appear "locked in" and stay on the track. I can't seem to make those ones go away. Any tips? It's probably something simple that I just don't understand.
