  1. Hey, Atlas007. Thank you for chiming in. Either I'm not clear on what "move to playhead" means, or that didn't work.
  2. While scoring to picture, I frequently have the need to add a tempo or signature change (key, time, or both) at a random spot on the timeline, dictated by the video at hand, in this case [15 4 1 161], but when I either manually enter that location into the position column or click the (+) icon by where it says "Time" in the List Editor, it snaps my desired change to the nearest square location...like [16 1 1 1]. This is easy to do in Ableton, but I haven't figured out the trick to do it in LPX. Please advise when handy if you can. Thank you!
  3. Hey Dave. The legend himself. Thank you so much for quick reply. Almost there - I didn't quite ask the question properly - the timecode (bar, beat, div, tick) is not agreeing with the playhead in the arrange window. Hopefully my screenshot does a better job of illustrating the problem. It creates other problems too - the Drummer region is treating beat 5 as the downbeat of a 7/4 bar. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Thanks!
  4. Thought I understood metronome fairly well, but when I recently changed the project time signature from 4/4 to 7/4, weird things happened. The timecode and transport are behaving as expected, but they do not align with the playhead location in the arrangement window. As in, when I see beat one and hear the downbeat emphasis from the metronome, the playhead is on beat FIVE, not ONE. Hope that makes sense. Please advise. Thank you!
  5. Hello All, I'm trying to find Logic's version of something that is really easy and straightforward in Ableton Live... After the intro section of my track, there's a two bar ritard, then a pause (not metered) for a few seconds. Then, after that pause, a new tempo and time signature. In Ableton, you can simply right-click and insert a new tempo or time signature anywhere, then you can drag that event to the left so you could automate or record a count-in for playback...so you get the effect of coming out of nowhere after a fermata with a new tempo/new time signature, but WITH the benefit of a count-in (in the in-ears) and the ability to snap midi events to the grid once this new section has started. In this case, I need the new tempo to start at 0008 2 001, and then to be able to extend that back to the left so I can program a count-in, but when I try to add a tempo event there, Logic snaps it to the nearest downbeat, 0008 1 001. This is a super common real-world need when creating tracks for live playback and an in-ear mix, and I do it all the time in Live, so I'm sure someone out there knows how to do this in LPX - I just hope I've asked the question in a way that makes sense to you guys! Thank you!
