  1. Thanks for the info guys but as I said I'm not looking to modify gain, I'm looking to get a region analyzed offline to know what the level is. In protools you simply select a clip, go in audio suite / gain and you have the option to analyse the clip, it gives you the peak and the RMS value of the clip in about 2 seconds, super easy. Alternatively, is there a way to analyze a full region offline with a third party plugin like izotope insight?
  2. Is there no way to analyse it offline? Like if I wanted to match gain on 2 1 hour long regions I'd have to sit there for an hour just to analyse it?!
  3. Is there a way to analyze the gain of an audio region in logic to know the highest peak, or the integrated RMS value of a selected audio region? I don't want to change the gain, I just want to get the info and then decide whether or not I want to modify the gain.
  4. So, it seems I am unable to replace a track stack. For example I'm unable to replace my drum bus. Also, if I select all my drum tracks and try to replace them, it only replaces the first track and adds all other track instead of replacing them. Why is that?
  5. I'm having this issue too. I select my drum tracks, then go to import, select the same drum tracks from the import tab, select plugins I/O and automation, hit replace and it only replaces my first track and creates new tracks for the other ones... Is that normal?
  6. Thank you guys I'll give that a try tonight
  7. Thanks but what I'm after is a way to move a bunch of selected regions to a precise point by entering the bar number instead of using the mouse. Right now move to played seems to be my only option and it moves all regions relative to one another, I'd like to move them independently of one another. So if a region is at bar 10 and another region at bar 20, they would both be moved to bar 1.
  8. Is it possible to move all regions to a specified position? For example I draged and dropped some audio files in a session, not all of them are at Bar 1 and I'd like to select all those regions and move them all to Bar 1. The Edit/Move to, function doesn't seem to do what I'm looking for.
  9. Thanks that seems to work partially. Why am I able to "replace" some tracks while other I can only "add"? Both songs have the exact same track number and names.
  10. In protools I used to use import session data to import my mix settings from one song to another. What is your favorite workflow to do that task in Logic?
  11. That's a very good question, you should do a live chat with apple to confirm that. Or take a guess and if it doesn't work ask for a refund, I've been able to get refunds from the app store before so it's an option.
  12. I had to uninstall Logic 10.4, restart the mac, go in the app store under my purchases and download last compatible version.
  13. So how does one upgrade to 10.5? I just got a graphic card that allows me to upgrade my Mac Pro 2012 to Mojave in the hope of running Logic 10.5
  14. The UAD stuff does sound good, I've used most of their plugins, but I'd rather not get into that ecosystem. Firstly because of cost, secondly I have already too many plugins and lastly because I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible. I come from a pretty big hybrid system, really cool stuff, but I'm at a point where I feel like I can do as much with way less and I find that motivating. Regarding the Apogee, can anyone confirm the integration with Logic? I'm mostly interested in having direct monitoring with active sends but it's a bit confusing on Apogee's website.
  15. I've been looking at the Apogee audio interfaces, I used to own a Symphony MKI 16x16 before I moved to a protools HDX rig with Avid HD i/o. The Avid rig is now gone and I have a Lynx Hilo that sounds great but the apogee integration with Logic seems interesting and I'm in the market for another interface to use in another room with Logic. Anybody using one with Logic, the new Symphony Desktop looks pretty decent.
