  1. Is there a reason why the view jumps to the right or left (out of the midi notes sight) when I try to replicate a midi note or pattern? I deselect everything (Shift + D), Select All (cmd + A), Hit Z to zoom in/out in the piano roll to see all the midi notes and then try to replicate a pattern and the notes disappear and I have to spend time searching for them again. Any suggestions?
  2. Whoops! Yea, I meant marquee. Nice catch.
  3. Got it! You were right on the money. Side note: Chapters 5 & 7 were worth the cost of the book alone, excellent material dude. Would love to see and learn more tricks regarding the MOD Matrix on the sampler. Thanks David
  4. -It's my understanding that if you have -"fade tool click zones" checkbox CHECKED > Exit -Main window tools your left tool in your main workspace under your display (you have 2 or 3 tools above) on your left mouse click you have the cursor. -When you select the top part of a region, you have the cursor by default (previous step) -When you select the bottom part of the region, Logic automatically changes to the marquee tool. Fun Fact: I've come across someone mentioning that most DAWs or perhaps some DAWs have that option of both those tools set by default and its something you simply have to set up in preferences in Logic.
  5. Hey new user here, my name is Johnny. I purchased Logic Pro X 10.5 by David Nahmani (I heard he works here, haha). Lesson 7. Creating Content - Key Commands - Adding a Pattern Region to an Audio Track [P. 348] 8. Chose Track > Other > New Track With Same Channel (or press...) -I've noticed that when doing so, it just creates another audio channel underneath with default name Audio 2. I don't see any kind of link between the Free Fall Piano and the new Audio 2 track anywhere in the mixer or otherwise a "link" I can see. My track didn't change its name like the picture described on P. 348. -When I continue to the next section Creating Step Automation [P. 349], click the learn button to find the X and Y filter Remix FX, it doesn't show up as a row to automate when I click the triangle submenu on the step sequencer track name. I have the Audio 2 drum sequence region to bar number 8, matching the other two tracks. Am I missing something?
