  1. If you open up the color pallette, there are specific color squares that logic pulls it's default track colors from. So it's really as simple as customizing your color pallette. Maybe someone would be kind enough to post the exact squares.....but there is square for audio tracks, instrument tracks, etc;. What would be nice is to have the color pallette customizable at the project level (and the background color for arrange as well).
  2. I like Fat EQ for more general shaping. Sounds good on leads and percussion sometimes....I actually like the boost on it a bit more than even channel eq on certain material as long it is under +6db. It somehow sounds a bit less sterile than the newer Logic EQs.....which can be good in some situations. Channel EQ is a great all around surgical tool. The low cut and high cut sound quite decent.....much better at more drastic shaping than Fat EQ and Lin EQ imho. What I turn to, to shape bass and percussion. I use Lin Phase EQ on atmospheric material, pads & the like. After reading Fader8s post regarding the Lin EQ and using my ears, I stopped using it on any material with attack transients that need to be punchy. I did notice that some of the punch was lacking in mixes where I used it a little excessively. It seems to be a bit more of this pristine (on the + side) or sterile (on the - side), depending on which side of the bed I woke up on that day. Match EQ :: I know there is a lot of potential in that EQ, I would love to hear what some creative applications are for this outside of mastering. I haven't used it so much which I feel like is a shame....it seems uber-powerful.
  3. I was curious if there was anyway to select a large group of audio regions ( when one strips silence on a drum loop, for instance ) and apply identical, non-destructive fade ins/outs. Ideally this would be done in the arrange window with the fade tool, somehow. It would be nice to do small fades to avoid clicks and pops from regions that do not cut across the zero crossing. Doing fades on a large number of audio regions by hand is very tedious and time consuming and I can't seem to find a way to do the fades in a way that will ensure the fade curve is indentical. Nor can I find a way to do batch fades. Cubase has this feature and it is quite nice, I must admit. Any ideas if this is currently possible in Logic 8.02?
  4. Hahahah.....Logic has been doing this for me for years....usually after 8 hour sessions
  5. Anybody know if there is a key command for the Play Button in the Audio Bin in Logic 8? Many Thanks for the great and resourceful forum here.... g
