  1. Found them on the laptop, you are correct. Now, why have they disappeared from my main Mac though? I'm currently copying that sampler instrument folder over from my laptop to my Mac and will put them in the sampler instrument folder there, but im scared of them popping up saying 'locate audio file' !! I have a lot of banks ive made.
  2. I cannot find the exs files. I have pulled up my laptop which has an older version of logic on and they are all in the EXS sampler in logic, but the strange thing is I cannot find the exs files on there either! The EXS patches all load and play fine on the laptop, so they MUST be somewhere but I can't find them on the hard drive when I search. Is there a way to locate the exs files from within exs24?
  3. Hi, I had loads of EXS banks id made, but since ive upgraded to 10.6 my new 'sampler' doesn't show one of them. Any idea how to get them all back please? Thanks
  4. So I should have put the fx on an aux channel?
  5. I figured it out. I had to put the fx on the audio channel itself, not on the bus. Once I did that it recorded fine.
  6. I have routed an audio channel to bus 14, then put a 3rd party plugin fx on bus 14, then got a new audio track and selected its input as bus 14. But it records the original audio channel without the fx unit. I also tested by muting the bus while it was recording and it still recorded the channel. Any ideas whats going on here? I'm absolutely sick to death of logic and its problems and bugs to be honest. Ive just lost a load of recording thinking it was working properly.
  7. all you need to do is line the midi piano up with the piano in the wav recording and it should line up, like its done loads of times before, but this time it doesn't, it plays ok for the first few notes, then drifts out of time.
  8. The audio has a techno beat under the piano so is damn obvious, the midi is just the piano playing on its own
  9. Because they don't line up
  10. I don't understand? I set the bpm to 120, turn the metronome on and? How can i tell if the midi is in time or not, its a classical un-quantized recording. I'm pretty sure its the midi too, because like i said before, the audio WAV track wouldn't loop properly if it was out of time. i.e when you set the loop brace to 1 bar it wouldn't roll around smoothly if it was out of time. So if its the midi file thats out of time, how can that be because he has bounced it at 120 AND ive chosen 'import midi file' - it says do you want to import tempo - i say yes and it the bpm stays at 120 lol!
  11. Yes, ive typed it in. Ive started a new blank project Ive typed in 120bpm Ive imported the audio file - it plays in time with the metronome Ive imported the midi file (it says do you want to import tempo info - ive tried both yes and no) - when 'yes' - the tempo is 120 anyway. STILL OUT OF TIME How can this be?
  12. I had the guy export the midi again his end, at 120, and its exactly the same. The original WAV file can't be at the wrong speed because I've checked it in mixed in key - it shows 120bpm - and it loops over perfectly in logic, if it was at the wrong bam it wouldn't loop over correctly in logic.
  13. I have just tried what you said david but its just the same. Doesn't work. fuzz - its drifting a about half a second every few bars, by the time it gets a few minutes into it its about 2-3 seconds behind.
  14. Nothing is supposed to change, I'm asking what the BPM is when you OPEN (not import) the file in Logic. its 120bpm
