  1. Thanks for your followup. I just checked and it isn't running in Rosetta mode. A related question: When you use Selection Based Processing (SBP) does LPX create a new audio file or does it alter the original? I ask because I noticed that as soon as I applied SBP to a region the LPX project file grew to a much bigger file size than usual. I might have had the original audio file open externally in iZotope RX at the same time—which probably forced LPX to create a separate audio file thus increasing the project file size? I only tried SBP on that one region exactly because I thought something was wrong, hence this post. I encountered an unusual problem with this project which I think might be related to doing SBP while having the audio file open externally in RX. Every time I did some fix in RX and returned to LPX the progress bar under the display kept loading and loading over and over for at least 3 minutes. Normally, I only see this progress bar once per audio file but this time it seemed to show a progress bar for each region! I've never seen that happen. Eventually I couldn't even open the project file. I was almost panicking because I had already worked on it for about 12 hours. Luckily I came across a video that helped me hack it so I could "reconstruct" the project:
  2. Very strange. I made a copy of the LPX project, tried it again and it rendered fast. I then tried it again on the original LPX project and it rendered fast also ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm still on Monterey. Probably why I don't have LPX v.10.8.1. I don't know if I'm running Rosetta mode. I don't think so. How to tell? I guess it shall remain a mystery.
  3. Any idea why? Please see attached. In case it matters, I have the latest LPX version (10.7.9) running on an M1 MacBook Pro with 32GB RAM. In the LPX project, there are only four 25-minute audio tracks. TIA! Selection based taking too long-Normal? HEVC.mov
  4. I wouldn't mind it much if Logic Pro would respect the Mac OS setting (Prefs>Keyboard>Shortcuts: ✅ Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls). I have that setting checked yet I can't navigate the dialog box buttons with the keyboard. I hate it when every time I have to reach for the mouse to click one of the buttons.
  5. You are totally right. I just turned off all plugins and now it plays from where the playhead is. I have an M1 Mac. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ $4600 for nothin'.
  6. Every time I hit the space bar to play the playback head steps back about 1/2 a second and then starts playing. Is this normal? Is it some setting I changed by accident? Is it perhaps because I have 4 plugins in all my tracks? I'm trying to accurately edit things and it's an annoying behavior. TIA!
  7. By accident I did a File > Revert to... and reverted to an earlier version of my project and lost about 3 hours of work. Not sure how this happened because I could swear I saved the most recent version but because I did it fast I didn't pay attention to the time stamps on the Revert To menu. Can I use a utility to like Disk Drill to recover it or is my latest version totally gone? TIA
  8. Thank you guys so much. I wasn't able to figure it out last night because I have a tight deadline I wound-up copying all my edits into a new clean project and worked on that. But I hope this helps someone else in the future.
  9. Please help. I must have hit a keyboard shortcut or something because when I divide a region it keeps adding what seems to be loops at the end of it. Never seen this before and I don't know how to make it go back to how it was before. Thanks! ScreenFlow1.mp4
  10. OP UPDATE: Strangely when I turn "On" the Track Flex Button all the regions turn black and white (screenshot below) but it sounds correct. Immediately after, I opened an older version of the project (via Revert) to check Flex settings and noticed they are "Off" for all tracks but they also sound normal. I'm confused.
  11. Was working on editing a podcast late last night and right before I saved the project I think I must have hit a keyboard shortcut because this morning I hear both narrator tracks low pitch (sounds like Andre the Giant). I found an Apple article on how to change the pitch (link) but it seems this is not my problem because both tracks are set to Transpose 0. Kindly let me know if you have any other ideas. Thank you!
  12. Thank you! Sorry for the newbie questions. LPX has many many hidden settings and there's no way I can remember them all.
