  1. Hi guys, I'm editing an audiobook, and freezing tracks to save on CPU I have an issue: Logic keeps re-freezing tracks, after I un-freeze them (to edit them, for instance)- and it's quite time consuming. The re-freeze takes up to 30 minutes. And I get zero message asking me wether I want to re-freeze this track. Attached is a picture. Please advise S
  2. Hi guys, Im not sure how to answer those questions: "What are your system’s specs? What type of hard drive (ssd or mechanical)?" Where can I find the info ? OH , wait. I know. It's a SSD. Because it's new. Spae wise I have around 45 per cent storage space left on my computer.
  3. Yes, I've tried restarting Logic, restarting my Mac. If there's any other way of rebooting- pls let me know. S
  4. Thank you for your help Atlas007- I can't freeze the track- the curser moves at such a slow pace, and then when I release it, the selected clips are 'let go of'. it's impossible to select the bits id like to freeze.
  5. Hello, I'm here happily recording an audiobook, when suddenly my Logic Pro become agonisingly slow ! Everything is up to date, Logic Software, my Mac book, I have over 120 GB storage space, there is no other USB plugged (other than the interface), and everything else on the Mac works fine. Here's a little clip to show my issues: Please let me know your thoughts- what can be done to fix. And im a newbie, so might need some layman's terminology, or extra guidance. S
  6. Ok- I start recording a new chapter of this audiobook. Set up is identical to all my other recording sessions. Except this time, I realise that there is a looud-ish hiss sound- white noise, in the back ground. It does not come from the headphones. And it does not go away when I remove plug ins, close down logic and restart, or restart the computer. It does not come from my environment, and all my previous recordings on the same track are except from this hiss. It also does not stop when I move the recording to a different track. Any advice ?
  7. I have the same issues ! The changes I've been making for the past 15 minutes don't show in the edit history- and no I can 'undo' my last changes ! Any solutions please ?
  8. I have similar issues, incredibly slow bounce times ! Even when it's only to MP3. Let me know if you have any info on this. This is a fairly new phenomenon, wasn't the case few days ago. Plug in chain hasn't changed... xxx
  9. Hi guys, Me again ! I am reading the manual 'Logic Pro'.... And I am wondering if there is an other resource I could tap into, that really just specialises into using Logic as a Voice Over artist? There are literally one a few things that I need to get good at within Logic, things like Compression for instance, with parameters like threshold, ratio etc, is not really being delved into in detail in the manual. Is there a manual specially for VO artists? Thank you, Selina
  10. Omg, angels. you guys are angels xx
  11. Oh ! Never mind. I found the user manual. It's this, right ? https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1924/en_US/logic-pro-10-6-user-guide.pdf
  12. Hello Obi-Wan Ok- I want this manual- where can I get it ? Sorry if this is a silly question, or if it's something that I should know......... I'm really needing some manual-ing. Selina
  13. Hello, I m a beginner with Logic, doing some edits for a voice over recording, trying to up the gain - but as a drag the gain slide back and forth it doesn't change anything on the recording. See pic below. Any any on how to trouble shoot ? Thanks, S
  14. Gotcha, thank so much Fuzzfilth ! Is that the only way? Because it would be a lot easier if Logic just.... didn't do a click noise and took it off automatically? xx
  15. Hello, I'm new to logic, and I use it for voice over recordings. I tried cutting out a bit, and splitting the two separate clips back together- but there is a 'digital click sound' every time ! Please tell me there is a setting somewhere, that I can deactivate so that this doesn't systematically happen ? Thank you, Selina
