  1. Thank you, I'll try that. I think the manual suggests this only works with single drums, but I might have misunderstood. Best- Wilhelm
  2. Cool! I wonder if there are any updates to Apple Drummer? It’s really an amazing piece of software that really deserves further developement.
  3. Hi all, I have some old projects where I relied on prerecorded drum loops (all drums on the same track). I would like to transform these into MIDI, do you have any tips on how to this in an efficient way? best- Wilhelm
  4. Don’t panic, there is usually some solution. What if you make a copy of the project and delete the new audio files from its ”contents” folder? If this allowes you to open the project, you can easily replace the ”empty” audio regions with the old audio files.
  5. I haven’t tried the new OSX’s myself so I relied on info from the intetnet, sorry if I got it wrong. What sucks is that Apple keep on introducing new technologies only to immediately abandon them. They also always make sure that things aren’t backward compatible. I’ve been through Firewire 400, Firewire 800, thunderbolt 1, 2, and 3 and have ridiculous chains of adaptors and dongles to make my expensive peripherals (barely) function. Apple are IMHO needlessly waisting money and time for customers and for companies who develope peripheral equipment. They are also contributing to significant amounts of industrial waste despite of their environmental policies.
  6. Sorry if this has been up before. Just wanted to warn people with Firewire devices that Apple apparently has stopped supporting Firewire in osx Sonoma and Ventura. This means that the devices will stop working, even if you have the right dongles/converters. This sucks, since FW remained a standard in pro audio devices long after Apple introduced Thunderbolt. Best- Wilhelm
  7. Thanks David. A bit pressed on time right now but will do this a bit later. Best- Wilhelm
  8. It depends on if you A) want to snap both vocal + midi to the grid, B) want piano to follow vocals independent of grid, C) want vocals to follow piano independent of grid. There is a solution for each of these alternatives, let us know which one you want.
  9. Thanks guys. I'll try the cycle off/overlap setting in the recording settings. As for "drag" settings I already use the "overlap" option. Plowman's solution also makes sense but I already have the "Include Non-Note MIDI Events" option unchecked. Best- Wilhelm
  10. A small but annoying problem: When working in piano roll, copy/pasting and so on, regions sometimes change length (become longer). I guess it's to accommodate for new pasted notes, but it seems to happen even when I paste stuff within the region's length. Sometimes the new, longer regions erase contents from the next region (although I've chosen "Overlap" in the "drag" menu. Is it possible to stop this behavior? Best- Wilhelm
  11. It doesn't hang, but sometimes it takes long for instruments to load into a project. Some are slower than others, e.g, Apple drums or strings. - Wilhelm
  12. Thanks. So no way to monitor load process of samples then I guess? Maybe only relevant to me because of stone age computer lol!
  13. Good question, following... I would like the Groove Track to work like Groove Templates, with the opportunity to set the level of quantization.
  14. Hello, Is there a meter displaying the loading of samples into the project? I've read something about a "blue line" but I can't find it. The "HD" meter is always showing completed although the samples are not fully loaded yet. (I'm on Logic 10.4.4) Thanks- Wilhelm
