  1. I may be wrong but I think you should be able to run Logic without Rosetta and it opens rosetta for your plugins that need it. After running the Vienna Ensemble Pro Uninstaller logic boots up. Removing plugins from your components folder and clearing preferences and caches is not always the solution. It is best to boot Logic after installing each plugin set. I have heard of older versions of waveshell causing similar issues.
  2. The plugins work in standalone. I run Logic 10.4.4 on Sierra and it opened fine on my M1 macbook but I cant open any version higher than that one. Do you know what preference effects the "Updating information about Audio Unit Plug ins..." message? That is the where it keeps getting stuck.
  3. I was running Native. I tested Rosetta and same issue. Logic was loading fine until I installed the first few 3rd party plugins. Not sure if it's VEP or the Cherry Audio plugins. When I reinstall the plugins it hangs on scanning them.
  4. I’ll see what’s in there. I haven’t installed apollo or anything on this machine yet. It is just running core audio on the native sound card.
  5. Yes I removed everything from the user components folder as well.
  6. I have a new 16 macbook pro M1 running Monterey 12.1. I have removed all of the plugins from the components folder and I am not able to launch Logic (spinning beachball). I have tried removing with App Cleaner and reinstalling Logic and the OS. I also deleted my logic preferences and cleared the AU Cache. The only way I can get Logic to start is by ctrl booting without the Core Audio driver. Any suggestions?
  7. I haven't used this function in a while but I recall it functioning differently in the past. I have a session that I want to bounce everything in it. I've set it up to my liking, named everything accordingly and I am keeping the original instruments in a folder in case I want to change or add something later. Im having 2 issues. 1. There are some regions on the track which are muted, and I do not want them bounced. However I don't want logic muting the other regions on the track when it is done with bouncing the tracks in place. For regions in place there is an option not to mute them. But for bounce tracks in place there is not. Still, Logic is muting everything on the track when the bounce is complete. 2. Also I have multiple tracks for the same instrument...i.e. for Drums, Hhats on one track, kick on another, snare, etc. However when I bounce these tracks in place everything is being mixed together on one track. Are there workarounds for any of these issues? Thanks in advance!
  8. Never got to say thanks to both of you! Still working on it. Not sure if anyone uses Slate Batch Commander. Trying to figure out how to get specific naming/numbering conventions handled.
  9. I am getting into keyboard maestro and I'd like figure out if there is a way to move regions to another track with a keycommand? The only way I can figure out how to do it is with cut and paste. Does anyone know of any forums that address automating routine tasks with DAWs? I know about slate batch commander but it seems I can do a lot of what I want with KM.
  10. Since upgrading to Sierra I am finding that in Logic (10.3.1 or 10.2.4) I am finding that my left click gets stuck in a sluggish way. This makes everything very difficult to do. I imported a new audio session with very few plugins and I am having this issue on sessions large and small. Any ideas what might be causing this? Is there a way to isolate any potential software conflicts? In the old days you could load logic with extensions off however I dont think logic would run this way to test it since audio drivers would be disabled. Regardless is anyone else having this issue and has anyone resolved it. Thanks!
  11. Does anyone have any additional thoughts on how to troubleshoot this issue. I have sessions that constantly exhibit this issue while others do not. Usually it is larger sessions. I am using the fastest 2012 Mac with 64 gigs of ram. I/O buffer 512, Processing Threads Auto, Process Buffer Medium, Multithreading Playback and Live Tracks, I have a FW 800 UA Apollo with a FW Satellite. If I have video playing from my mac via VLC, etc I also hear the stuttering audio. Is there some way to get a bit more forensic to get to the bottom of this?
  12. I have summed everything out to the DBOX and brought its audio back into logic. I use a UA Apollo and the DBOX Summing Output is going to the 1-2 input in Logic. I manually created an input in the environment and I assigned that input to a PRINT Aux/Bus. My Audio track to record the DBOX summing output is set to Bus 64 (my Print Bus) rather than 1-2. The reason I did this is because that seems to be the only way I can apply 2Bus effects to the mix prior to printing. I put the 2Bus effects on the Print Buss and then I record the output of my Print Bus. I could apply effects to the Outputs of Logic before they hit the Dbox but that is not useful for my purposes. I just want to confirm I am doing this properly. I dont see any other way to do this and there are no tutorials online that mention the step of creating the input. Thanks
  13. The audio tracks in the session are all 24 bit 44.1 but I was wondering if I might benefit from giving the mastering engineer a 24/192 file wav file to work with. Also do anyone recommend giving a mastering engineer a split L/R file or leaving it interleaved?
  14. I will do that. It is quite late here and I am trying to get this stuff mastered this week. The issue has kind of wreaked havoc on the mix as I was wondering why the mix became so narrow and I worked around it. Now it is too wide and out of balance after toggling the stereo/mono switches. Not sure if it will revert back when I close and re-open the project. When I upload it should I try to delete everything because it is massive. Without hidden tracks it is over 250 tracks?
  15. Yes there are a few plugins on each of the Vocal subgroups. However none of them are mono. As I mentioned toggling the stereo mono switch on the BV aux fixed the issue, but I don't think that changes a plugin from mono to stereo. I have been having this issue on a lot of my large sessions. I have been working around it by automating the panning on the main subgroup but I found that toggling the stereo/mono switch got it working as it's supposed to.
