  1. It appeared ! I’ve ran the first aid following the doc (partition, then sector, then disk) and I deleted all caches (including any files in the cache named *logic*... so the bad news is that I don’t know what solved the issue. But it’s solved
  2. Yes... and deleting the preference file somehow triggered a pop-up asking me to re-download logic instruments
  3. I deleted : cache -> com.apple.audiounits.cache preferences -> com.apple.logic10.plist and preferences -> com.apple.logic.pro.cs
  4. Thanks a lot ! I went all in... deleted the 2 files in "preferences" + the cache. Rebooted the mac... and still nothing Unless you have another trick up your sleeve... I might just wait for flux (or I can just reset logic entirely but I haven’t found how)
  5. I have checked out every single pop-up menu (including the ones not making sense like instruments) I’ve just tried the new user thing : it does appear for my freshly create doppelganger... still not for my user. What does it mean ? Lastly I have contacted Flux... I’m waiting for their reply. Thanks !
  6. Hi ! I have just installed Flux Ircam Verb on logic pro and it’s not showing on the Audio Unit list. Fine. I did all the usual counter measures : deleting the cache file, reseting everything on the PM, restarting the computer. But nothing happened. It DOES work on another software I own... Logic is set on Rosetta mode so... it’s not that. I don’t know what else to try... the plugin is said to be activated and used on the PM... but still nothing in the Audio Units list... Thanks for your help !
  7. Is there a way to have a default pattern template for a given track ? For instance, I have a drum track and I would like to make sure that, whenever I create a pattern on that track it’ll have the BFD3 template I created (alternatively, a quick way to load a template on the remote iPad would at least make the process a bit faster, albeit not perfect) Thanks !
  8. Absolutely not. I will not look at the splash screen and wait for it to go through 233 plugins and whatnot 37 times a day just to switch Logic projects. I will not wait for 4.5minutes everytime I want to quickly do a 15sec change in another Davinci Resolve project. file->open project to open another project [_] to minify the window and go make a change in Davinci (or cmd tab) there are already much more logical ways to do what you say to not use a symbol (red cross) that is universally know as "cancel/close" except in macOS I’ll remove the notification for this slippery slope of a thread but general rule is don’t mix up habits with logic (the reasoning, not the music software)
  9. Same cause, same effect is (one of) the n°1 principle of UX (which is my job). And when it comes to windows... apple kinda stops being the king of UX it usually is and Windows does win this round (contrary to what a previous comment said) : if there’s multiple windows, close the window, if it’s the last window, close the app. No surprise. No ctrl-q. No hidden idle window. No "where the hell is my mail’s inbox ??". No "why on earth do I still have a dot on finder ??" I get apple won’t change that because it’s not enough of a problem to risk upsetting the people used to these quirks... but it’s objectively bad.
  10. Thanks a lot for the help I do appreciate. I think I understand what is going on : the red cross does not close the main window... but the project. When I click on the little "1" next to window it says "no project open" UNLESS i have another window open (like a plugin), then it does only close the main window and I can do the things you’ve suggested This explains why the window options were greyed out... I really don’t like the way the main window is managed but that’s not the only apple app to have annoying behavior like that on mac. But having a single button doing 2 very different actions without notice is really bad UX Thanks for helping me through the resolution of this issue
  11. Yes I know the mac’s "close" button is a weirdo and doesn’t actually close the app but I do do have a bug or something Clicking on the icon on the dock should reopen the main window, it doesn’t. I don’t get the Logic Pro menu bar on top so I can’t even click on window-> show main (and if I try right after I’ve closed it, all items in the window menu are greyed out) Lastly, when I click on "Project" after "show all windows" nothing happens, however if I click on a previous saved files there, it does open the thing
  12. On a 2020 MPB (big sur M1) with both native and rosetta when I close the window using the red cross, the app closes properly, but I can’t reopen it. It has the dot on the dock, shows in cmd-tab, shows in show all windows. And it even display plugin’s windows that were left open. However logic’s main window does not reopen. I can’t quit either, I got to force quit from there. Is there a workaround ? (PS : I did search the forum and found nothing, I apologize if I missed a similar question) Best !
  13. THAT’S IT ! I was certain Live was already fully M1 compatible but no. If I run Logic in rosetta mode, all my problems are gone. I’m amazed by the reactivity of this forum and thanks a lot for your help
  14. It’s compatible everywhere but in logic (as you can see in the screenshot, the standalone version is fine).
  15. I’m currently testing logic pro and it has a bunch of very annoying bugs. One of them is that bfd3 is empty ! (see image below, logic pro left, standalone right) It works perfectly everywhere else (Live, Renoise, standalone). When I go in the plugin to rescan locations it freezes Has it happened to someone else ? Is there a workaround ?
