  1. Thanks a lot for your replies David Nahmani and scg. scg I'll look in to your alternative suggestions with A1Triggergate, and Logic Step Sequencer and maybe even Shaperbox I haven´t delved in to the Logic step sequencer with automation, but it seems promising as well as the third party plugins. Meanwhile I came up with a way that might work using the Step FX in Writing mode, where I can stamp in automation by enabling cyclemode and setting the automation to write for that area. But then again I take note of your warning/heads up regarding the "Logic's 'timeline-synced plugin latency compensation'bug/idiosyncrasy". Would printing/bounce in place solve that idiosyncrasy? -Regarding that "timeline-synced plugin latency compensation'bug/idiosyncrasy", would you care to explain to me what that means or point me in direction to learn more about it? -Right now I am experiencing some oddness in the form of 1)the Step FX engaging slightly after the plugin as been de-bypassed (bypass off), and 2) Step FX automation reading behaving differently upon repeat / not reading the Bypass information upon cycle repeat. Could those issues be related to the "timeline-synced plugin latency compensation'bug/idiosyncrasy" or are they seperate issue all together for whole other topic? Thanks again, Benjamin
  2. Step FX: is it possible to set the start position of the plugin, where the plugin starts its counts of Steps? Or will it always be on beat 1 of the project? I have tried to bypass the plugin, but it seems that the plugin "runs in the background"/is locked to project start(?). This can make it complicated to work with, when having changing time signatures. - In another Topic/forum post I ask if its possible to automate the number of steps, because that would mitigate the problem. But so far that does not seem to be possible. If not I'll just have to stick with workarounds.
  3. Is it possible to automate the number of Steps in the Step FX? I can change the number of steps ( for example going from 16 steps to 12), but I can't seem to automate it. I have tried with touch and write in the automation lane to see if any automation popped up but none did. Br, Benjamin
  4. I am having this issue too. It refreezes tracks I haven't touched ( though can't be sure what exactly it freezes, but I assume everything selected with freeze knob). It even freezes if I just change the audio output - say switching from computer speakers to external headphones. Then tried another project where it doesn't refreeze. Running logic 10.7.2
  5. Hi! Thanks for both of your replies. Yes, I do care to report this to Apple. Would this be considered a bug, or a request for a feature? Where/how is it best to report it?
  6. Hi David. I use the commands "Rewind by Transient" and "Forward by Transient", but it doesn't affect the playhead when it is before the Anchor Point of a region. I haven´t tried if it works in the File Editor though.... [just trying that]...The "Rewind by Transient" and "Forward by Transient" commands still won't go to transients before the Anchor Point But it seems you are using/moving Marquee tool and not the Playhead? Which commands are you using?
  7. Hi there It seems that after setting the anchor point I am unable to go to any transients that is happening earlier in that same region. Is there a setting that would allow you to go transients happening before the Anchor Point of a Region? Best Regards.
  8. Oh, I now see that there indeed is a "Set Region Anchor to Playhead". Maybe that's something new since your 2019 post... Anyways thanks to both of you, now I can get on anchoring my regions :)!
  9. I dont know if it has changed since your post, but as in regard to You can manually add transient points, (even where there is no transients).
  10. Thanks polanoid. That's exactly what I was looking for:)!
  11. It looks like the Automation parameter for the send amount does not appear as an option unless you first tweak it while being in Latch mode or similar. Is it necessary by design to tweak it first in latch mode (or similar), to be able to get to write the automation or is there another way?
  12. Hi! I had same issue, and also tried raising the attack time, delay time as well, and generally played around with the envelopes, mainly envelope 3, and turned Ost Start to Soft. What helped was to also lowering the xtra sine way turn-knob located to the right of the filters, named "Sine level". Maybe the xtra sine way, the sineway from the "Sine level" turn knob to the right of the filters, isn't affected by by free/soft/hard option?
  13. Hi! Is there a way to make the tuplet brackets horizontal?
  14. This right here! I also experienced that the automation for bypass parameter responded ahead of time instead of on time. Turned out I had only set Accurate Automation to. "Volume, Pan, Sends" and needed to turn on "Volume, Pan, Sends, Plug-In Parameters" Solution: Set Sample Accurate Automation to: "Volume, Pan, Sends, Plug-In Parameters". [found under Preferences>General] You may also need to have your Plug-in latency set to Compensation: "All". I am not sure about this, so don't hang me up on it, but it works for me.
