  1. Currently experiencing an issue with MIDI playback for a specific plugin, wondering if there is any work-around or solution here. Essentially the plugin [au instrument] loads fine, doesn't fail any validations but is not responding to either MIDI playback or live. The instrument has a GUI, where you can click on the 'Toms' and sound will play but MIDI notes aren't triggering any sounds whatsoever. I have switched instruments on the track, and the MIDI notes trigger a sound, it seems to be specific to this plugin. This only started happening after the Monterey 12.4 update. Anyone having similar issues with this plugin or others?
  2. Don't know if anyone else has this experience but I seem to always be able to tell if a bass has been DI'd. I don't like the sound, it's too up-front, sits horribly in a mix and responds to compression in some really strange ways. In a typical rock setting it's always competing with the kick and body of guitars. Unfortunately, I don't have a studio with a wonderful bass rig but I do have some great pre-amps, a decent bass, and logic pro. Was wondering if anyone had any tips for tracking and recording DI'd bass so it doesn't sound so DI'd. This seems most apparent when tracking slap-bass. Logic's amp-modelers are cool but I've never been fully satisfied, I've also used UA's SVT model but it still seems to have the same issue. Thanks!
  3. Just want to bump this because I have the same issue--it's not plugin delay related. Happens without plugins. During recording, the notes are fine but during playback they are shifted forward. Happens with audio too. [EDIT: even at lower buffer/sample with no plugs this happens]
  4. Ok, it gets weirder. If I open up a Drum Machine Designer, the pads all correspond correctly. If I Record Enable the Drum Kit Designer along with the Drum Machine Designer, simultaneously, both will correspond correctly but when using only the Kit Designer it reverts back to the incorrect settings...
  5. Ok, scratching my head hard on this one: I have the Roland V-Drum TD-1 connected via USB, I've loaded a Drum Kit Designer patch and all hell has broken loose. None of the mappings are correct, and only a few of the pads even trigger a sound despite MIDI being registered and received by Logic. Steps I've taken: 1. Verified all connections are secure and kit functions independent of Logic Pro. 2. Changed setting from "GM" to "V-Drum". 3. Attempted to use Scripter's "Drum Kit Designer Remapper" [setting back to GM on that one too]. 4. Played the entire kit and made sure that Logic Pro is receiving a signal for all triggers. In step 3 I've also noticed that when I trigger the Kick Drum as well as the Floor Tom Logic Pro is receiving "C1" for both yet triggering a high-tom sound which is supposed to be triggered by "C2". Also, I'll hit the Snare, for example, see that Logic is receiving "D1" and make sure that D1 is being scripted to Snare, run scripter and still get no sound. [EDIT: I've also factory reset the TD-1] I'm baffled.
  6. Now to just figure out how to do what you just said lol.
  7. The artifacts seem to have stopped with both the UA and Internal Audio. I'm currently on 256 with a 10.0 ms Roundtrip (4.7 ms Output). I'd like to be able to perform at 512 but the latency sky-rockets. Unfortunately I would be unable to use the HDD space currently.
  8. With Internal Audio: I/O Buffer set to 256 I/O Safety Buffer engaged Driver Latency slider at 75% [128 Samples] Resulting Latency: 15.3 ms Roundtrip (10.0 ms Output).
  9. By on-board hardware do you mean Internal Audio settings?
  10. Yes, they are backing tracks. I mainly use Mainstage for playback of backing tracks with live accompaniment--was looking to see if there was a way to see the duration of each "Set".
  11. Hello! Been looking around and can't seem to find an answer to this: is it possible to display or find the entire duration of a Set in Mainstage Pro? (ie, "SET A TOTAL TIME: 1hr, 35min, 15 seconds"). I'm trying to time out a set to make sure it's the proper duration and wanted to see if Mainstage has this offered anywhere Thank you!
  12. UA Apollo Thunderbolt. I'm using a TAL for reverb.
