  1. Hi there 🙂 Old thread, but I thought I'D reactivate it. Just got back to my Panorama P6 trying to get used to it after all these years. Latest update and firmware here on Logic 10.7.9 on a Mac Studio M1 Max on Monterey. There are things I can't get my head around even after googling for solutions. 1. I don't want to have plugins opening up once I switch to another track. I know this has to do with the link-feature in the upper right corner of the plugins, but even if I switch to "off" plugins open up again when switching tracks. 2. I don't understand how I can select the effects in order to make use of the P6's knobs and sliders. Cheers folks, nice to see that this place is still alive. 🙂
  2. Yes, had this installed from day one. Very good app and absolutely to recommend.
  3. Hi there again and sorry for my late reply. I actually solved my problems, and it was in fact due to one single plugin. Here's how I did it, it may be helpful for others: I removed all plugins from the components folder starting with the letters A to C. Then D to F, and so on. After I removed all plugins from M to O Logic suddenly behaved as it should. I then isolated the letter N. In there it was a plugin based on the Nebula-technology from Acustica Audio, namely the just updated Taipei from London Acoustics. After removing the plugin from the songs and then reinserting it (I have this wonderful tape machine emulation in all of my songs as the last one in the mixbus) everything went smooth. Since then I didn't have a single crash or strange behaviour and am happy with my new setup and the Mac Studio. About me not being able to find the Hornet VU meter: It was indeed in the other components folder on the HD, as the only plugin in there. Strange stuff. Oh, and about the little display when Logic is loading a project: It still just shows me Klopfgeist. I wonder why's that. Cheers, and thanks again for all your help and time.
  4. Hi there fisherking, thanks for jumping in. It's an honor as you're such an experienced and also funny and wise member of this community. I actually had more than 1000 components and already cleaned up. Once Logic validates them I expect them to be compatible, and they're all validated. (I may add that I'm a professional Logic user sind version 4 and know that stuff inside out).
  5. And there's another strange thing: Logic tells me that (for example) HornetVUMeter mkIII isn't validated. Strange thing: I can't find it in my components folder.
  6. Hi there My experiences with Logic on my new Mac Studio Max are quite strange. I just left my old Mac mini i7 from 2018. Here are some things I want to point out:From the 9 tracks of the album I am working on only 6 are opening. They way Logic „crashes“ (it actually doesn’t, it’s just not repsonding anymore with me having to force-quit it) is very intransparent. That little status window when loading a project for example is only showing me that it’s loading Klopfgeist, whereas in the past on the Intel macs it showed you each and every plugin Logic is loading. By that one could make out a faulty plugin before Logic crashed. (And yes, there was a crash log after that to see what was happening). Now I experience three forms of behaviours: 1. Logic comes that far to at least show me what plugins are missing in a window, and from there on it’s over and I have to force quit as nothing is happening. 2. The project shows up but I can’t do anything. Clicking into the window makes it flash. Again: I have to force quit it. 3. The little status window while loading just dissapears and nothing happens. Again: force quit. (That's the one that occurs the most) In all cases my Mac shows me that Logic isn’t responding anymore. The projects that are loading take way longer to load compared to my experience on my Mac mini 2018 i7. Disclaimer: I did a complete fresh install on my Mac Studio. I run Logic in native mode as most of my plugins are M1-ready. I do have 584 components in my folder. (And yes, I suspect plugins to make Logic behave like it does and will do more troubleshooting removing plugins from my folder. All plugins in use are validated though) Here’s a big wish: Future versions of Logic should really tell us which plugins are causing trouble. I read that Reaper (or was it Studio 1?) offers such a service. Specs: Logic 10.7.4 on OS 12.5.1 Cheers and thanks in advance for reading and maybe even helping me out in some way. putte
  7. It seems to be absolutely random. I don‘t think it‘s due to a specific plugin. Will check further, but for now it‘s back to work with 7.1.
  8. Sure, already did that a few days ago.
  9. Hi there. Over here on my Mac mini i7 from 2018 running the latest Big Sur both 10.7.3 and 10.7.2 are useless, whereas 10.7.1 works perfectly well. The last two updates introduced this: Inserting and removing AU-plugins makes Logic freeze for some time giving me beach balls. No chance to work like that, it‘s really strange. I never experienced something like this (2 useless updates in a row) since version 4.
  10. Hi David. I actually hope that it's not going to be a Mac mini M2, but a M1 Pro/Max instead.
  11. Yes! I'm following all this on a regular basis and really hope that we'll see a Mac mini Pro/Max sometime soon. And hopefully with these added ports as well. That would be my dream machine.
  12. Hi there David! The pleasure is on my side. Nice to be here again.
  13. Also hoping for a M1X-mini here. So far I´m on a 2018 mini i7. Fingers crossed.
  14. That´s good to hear! Thanks for the info, fisherking.
  15. Good topic, thanks for that. I´m on a Mac mini i7 from 2018 riding Catalina, having 1000+ plugins in my folder. I´m planning to get the M1X-mini once it´s out, and this one will be shipped with Monterey. Hope to see this thread grow. Cheers!
