  1. I did use the gain parameter to adjust the volume before I packed it, but after I packed it the volume went back to the way it was. OK I tried option clicking the take that needed adjusting and that was it!....Thanks...so easy....how did you get the region inspector window to appear by the track like that?
  2. I hope I can make sense here.....I have three tracks with three separate takes of a vocal. I want to pack them so it will be easy to comp them. One of the takes is about 7 DB louder than the other two . So I used the gain utility to drop the volume of the louder take to match the other two takes. The problem is when I pack them into a take folder, the gain change I make on the loud track isn't there anymore. So how do I pack these three tracks and keep the change I made to the gain on that one track?
  3. I have a backing vocal part that I have the volume automated and it's almost there. But there is one small phrase I'd like to pull down a specific amount, but when I try and drag it , it jumps too far down. I can't get it to the right value. Is there a way to type in the value of just that one, two bar phrase without affecting the automation on the entire track?
  4. ok, good visual, holding down command enables marquee tool to highlight , pointer tool to split it. Thanks
  5. Yep That works, thanks... But when I click the marquee area it doesn't split it...I had to use the scissor tool, how do you split it by click the selected marquee area?....That would really speed things up
  6. I like to record 3 or 4 takes on the same track, then comp the best parts. I've been doing that, then listening back to all three parts, a couple bars at a time, one take at a time....it's tedious that way. I'd like to be able to listen through each take entirely, and highlight or mark the parts that stand out as keeper parts before I start comping. I mean, when you drag the mouse across a part to highlight it, it also chooses it. I want to only mark it for consideration, then when I've listened to all 3 takes, I can see all the parts I've singled out, then choose the ones I want to use when I comp them.
  7. The speaker I'm planning to get is an active speaker, and I think I'll stick to a mono output. Thanks for the help.
  8. I was thinking to connect the aura tone speaker to my monitor controller with a "y" cable. But I've read that this can damage the speaker. Wondering if anyone has had any problems with this or would it be better to just send a mono signal to one cable?
  9. Yep, Kerochan went through the same thing I did, choosing Samsung PSSD T7 Media after clicking on view is what threw me off track also. Thanks again
  10. Nevermind, found it, Select T7-view-scheme-guid-format....
  11. OK, I purchased a samsung T7 and I want to format it to APFS. Only there is no option for that in the drop down menu. Only Mac OS extended(journaled), Mac OS extended(case sensitive journaled), MS -DOS (FAT), it is currently exfat?....Which should I choose?
