  1. (Hello, haven't been able to find an answer to this specific question yet. I'm sure it's been answered before but I just can't find it and am running out of time to keep looking, sorry if this is a common post.) ------ I have a large template that uses a bunch of multi-instruments with Kontakt 5 (16x stereo). Each one has the main instrument track with Kontakt 5, and 15 linked aux tracks (not sure the technical terminology but I attached screenshots). I'm updating to Kontakt 6, and was hoping to just switch the plug-in on the main instrument track of each multi-instrument (clicking the dropdown next to Kontakt 5 16x stereo and selecting Kontakt 6 16x stereo.) When I do that though, the 15 linked aux tracks get destroyed. If I could just switch the instrument from K5 to K6, I believe I could load my Kontakt multis easily and be ready to go, but I don't want to have to rebuild the auxes in Logic for all these multi-instruments as well. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
  2. Sorry, here are the screenshots. From what I'm gathering at the NI forum, this is possibly an issue with Kontakt 5 Full and/or Kontakt 6 Player, that could be resolved if we both upgrade to Kontakt 6 Full. Hoping that's the case, but will post a follow-up as well in case that helps anybody else out there. Will try to deal with it by the end of the week.
  3. (This may be a Kontakt question, so I've posted in the Native Instruments forum as well, but in case there's a Logic aspect to it as well I'm posting it here. The error message screenshots I attached are from Logic, not Kontakt, and this issue only happened after updating to Logic 10.6.3 about a week ago, but that could be a coincidence. It's a bit long and possibly confusing, sorry.) I'm working with a co-composer on a project, and we send Logic sequences back and forth, with lots of Kontakt instances within. He has some Kontakt instruments that I don't (some are custom samples he can't share, some are expensive libraries, the Spitfire winds and brass, that aren't used often enough for me to justify purchasing.) ISSUE #1: If he sends me a Logic session that uses some of his custom Kontakt instruments, they don't load on my computer, which is obviously expected. But when I transfer the session back to him, the instruments appear to load into Kontakt for him (the Kontakt instance isn't "empty" when you open it, the instruments are "there") but they don't actually play/make sound. He has to reload or replace the instruments in those Kontakt instances, then they work just fine. This issue happens with Kontakt 5.8.1, and these custom sample aren't actual Kontakt "libraries," they are just loaded through "files" menu in Kontakt. ISSUE #2: If he sends me a a Logic session using the Spitfire winds/brass that I don't have, those instruments don't load for me, again obviously. When I transfer those sessions back to him, the Kontakt instances that held his Spitfire instruments DO appear "empty," the instruments don't even appear to be there, compared to Issue #1. This happens with Kontakt 6 Full (my computer) and Kontakt 6 Player (his computer). RELATED: we both have Spitfire Chamber and Symphonic strings, and those transfer just fine between our computers. In fact, for every single one of the instruments we BOTH have, we have no problems, Logic/Kontakt automatically loads those instruments on either of our computers no matter how much we transfer projects back and forth. This issue only happens when he uses and instrument I don't have, I work on the session on my computer, and then transfer it back to him; that's when those instruments don't load properly. We both have Logic 10.6.3, MacOS Catalina. I attached screenshots of error messages we have gotten. Apologies but I can't remember right now which issue each of the screenshots correspond to. I hope I explained this properly. Thanks so much in advance for any help you may have, this issue is slowing us down a lot!
