  1. Hi all Back again with some Launch Control dilemmas but hopefully with a simple request. I'm using my Launch Control as part of my live setup and I was wondering if I could use the pads for muting select channels while the pad is pressed, and then unmuting when I release the pad? I currently have them set so that I press them once to mute and again to unmute, but this feels a bit jumpy and it would be nice to have a more swift solution. I've fiddled around with some of the Controller Assignment options but nothing seems to work. Anyone?
  2. This worked great until I started triggering the cells and my laptop couldn't cope with the system overload! Definitely something to remember for the future though - thanks again!
  3. Hi all I'm not sure if I will explain this well but I will give it a go. My project is a live setup which has multiple songs made up of various different scenes that allow me to trigger the different parts of the songs. I use the arrows on my Launchpad X to move from one song to another (left to right) but the Live Loops window stays put (unless I manually scroll left to right). Is there a way that I can have the Live Loops window move from left to right as I press the buttons? I guess, this is almost similar to the Catch Playhead function for the Tracks View. Similarly, I'd be happy with a function that switches the window to show the same 8x8 grid as I have on the Launchpad. Hope this makes sense!
  4. Hi Jordi. That's perfect and has solved the issue. Thank you very much. Now that this is working properly - do you know how I might be able to set the Launch Control pads so that they are lit when the channel is muted?
  5. Hi all Asked this in separate thread under a different question but felt more necessary to have its own thread to avoid confusion. I have created controller assignments for some of the pads on my Launch Control device which I intend to use for muting select channels or sends. I also use the arrow buttons for moving the loop locators forwards and backwards by loop length. I have now assigned these pads but when trying to mute a channel I need to press the pad twice. Same goes for when I want to unmute it or if I want to move the loop locators - the button/pad needs to be pressed twice. Any idea why this might be happening?
  6. Hi David - thanks for your response. My output audio device is my Scarlett 8i6. I may have found a workaround by directing all of the Sends to a Bus and sending that to Output 3-4. I can then assign a controller assignment to this fader (which hasn't disappeared for now!). I have encountered another issue now though - I have created controller assignments for some of the pads on my Launch Control device which I intend to use for muting select channels or sends. I have now assigned these pads but when trying to mute a channel I need to press the pad twice. Same goes for when I want to unmute it - needs to be pressed twice. Any idea why this might be happening?
  7. Hi all. For some reason the fader for Output 3-4 has disappeared. Previously this fader had been present and I was able to assign it to a controller assignment. It sometimes appears and then disappears again when moving between Mac and Macbook. Anyone have any ideas?
  8. Perfect, thanks very much! So would I now just copy this file over to my Macbook and paste it in the same location (replacing the original Macbook file)?
  9. I don't seem to have this file in that destination. I've searched for it across the whole Mac and can't seem to find it. Could it be anywhere else?
  10. Hi all I've been putting together a live setup using my Mac, but then transferring the logic project over to my Macbook for performances and rehearsals. I've recently acquired a Launch Control and I've created all the Controller Assignments I need for the live setup using the Mac. Is there a way I can transfer this information across to my Macbook without having to re-Learn all of the Assignments? For added difficulty, I should add that my Macbook is using an older version of Logic (I can't remember which right now but it's the most up-to-date version for that OS - it's an old laptop), while my Mac is using 10.7.4. I always get the message saying - ‘Warning - this project was created by a newer Logic Pro X version’ but this hasn't caused me any issues so far. Thanks Jordan
  11. I may have found a solution but it doesn't seem to be pretty. In the cell inspector I have changed Flex & Follow from 'On' to 'On and Align Bars'. This now shows the bars and beats in the cell inspector and the cell editor but the waveform in the cell editor is showing lots of gaps in the audio as if there were short periods of silence at the end fo each bar. When I listen back there is no silence thankfully. When I change to 'On and Align Bars and Beats' it shows even more gaps in the audio waveform. Any ideas or solutions?
  12. Hi, yes it is. The tracks area still shows the musical grid. It's in the editors area that I can no longer see the musical grid and in the inspector it only shows the time divisions rather than beats.
  13. Hi all I'm in the process of putting together a live set in Live Loops. At the moment the project has three tracks, all with different tempos. I'm playing a four bar loop in the Tracks area at 138bpm. Once I have performed the first track, I move the loop cycle ahead four bars where it loops another four bar cycle at 100bpm. I finish performing this track and I move on another four bars playing at 128bpm. This *seems* to be working (if there are easier ways to do this please let me know!) but now that I want to make tweaks to one of the audio files in a cell I find that the Start, Loop Start, Loop Length and Cell Length areas only show time divisions rather than beat divisions. Is this because I'm shifting tempo throughout the project? Is there a way around this? I notice it also does this along the ruler of the Cell Editor too. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Jordan
