Hey There, I'm seeing a message in Logic 9 that I've never seen before and I'm stumped as to what the cause would be. While recording audio through my Apogee Duet, a progress bar that says Parameter Change comes up and takes a while to complete, then I get an ERROR message that says "Recording has been finished because of available memory, You may empty the trash or close and reopen projects". Then another window pops up saying "Couldn't record events" and asking me if I want to reorganize memory. It appears top happen if I try to adjust the volume (on another track) while recording Can anyone shed any light on this please? Thanks, FV

No, the Reverse Cycle is not on, and I'm not sure where the SMPTE setting would be, so I'm pretty sure I haven't messed with it

Need some help, I'm baffled by this one. In this one particular session, no matter where I place the cursor, when I hit PLAY, the cursor jumps ahead to a spot past all the regions (in other words, after the end). If I hit Stop once, it goes back to the beginning, then hit it again and it moves to the spot after the end of the track. Cycle is off. So, I can't play the session. It is only happening on this session. Anyone? FV

Wondering if there's a keyboard shortcut for this slider? I've looked in the manual and since I'm not really sure what it's called, I can't figure out what the shortcut is. I'm sure there's got to be a way to zoom horizontally without lifting your hands off the keyboard, right? Thanks

I am mixing a 32 track live concert, consisting of 10 tunes. It was given to me as one continuous file. I created a separate .logic file for each tune, but every tune is still using the same (hour long, 14GB) audio file folder, and when I attempt to Use "Select Unused" and Delete those files from each song, Save it (either using Save As or Save a Copy As), into a new folder, the resulting audio file folder is still 14GB. I have tried using the Clean Up Project option, but I still can't get the audio file folder to contain only the audio for only one tune. This is a drag, because If I need to send one tune to one of the musicians to fix, the file for one tune is huge. Am I missing something? Thanks, Fred V

Well, that makes sense, although I thought that exporting tracks didn't render with the plugins (that was what bouncing was for). That would also explain why some tracks come out as stereo (because certain plugins turn the mono outputs into stereo ) Should I zero out the levels on each track as well?

I was under the impression that when you use the "Export all Tracks as Audio" option, that Logic doesn't go through the output bus, so if the trax aren't clipping in Logic they won't be clipping in PT. So, why are some of my tracks so loud in PT (to the point of clipping) is there something I should be paying attention to before I export? Also, how do i make sure that the mono tracks come up as mono tracks in PT Thanks, FV

Thanks. No, no disk space issues. I've run disk utility , which didn't seem to help, but tossing the prefs seemed to do the trick for now. We'll see . . .

Got a brand new 8 core Mac Pro with 18 GB RAM. Running 10.5.3, L8.02 I've been tracking error free for the last 4 days, but today I'm getting this blasted "error -39". usually when I attempt to restart a cycle recording. I can't get out of it except by force quitting. Of course I'm on a deadline. . .

I thought I posted this earlier today, but it seemed to have vanished, so: I had been using the Apple Remote to put L8 in RECORD and PLAY while I was on the other side of the room, but I got my new Mac Pro today and was a little surprised to see that there is no sensor for an Apple Remote. I have a Griffin Airclick lying around and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to program it for those simple functions I tried changing the key commands, but for some reason I couldn't get it to work. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks, FV

I know how to change the record path for each project, but is there a way to set Logic to store a new project in a folder other than the user/music/logic folder by default?
