  1. Right, yeah I realized this was going to be a temporary solution after the fact. It certainly solved the immediate problem at hand, but doesn't go to the heart of the issue. So, some more digging it will be then. Let the learning begin!
  2. Mr. FuzzFilth with the win. Thanks for helping me set that to rest. How did you know that would be the problem? Looks like I've got some reading up to do on how 'Bypass All Control Surfaces' affects my gear. In either case, thanks everyone.
  3. Thanks, Atlas007. I checked that out and tried enabling the 'Control Change 7/10 option...' to see how it responded. Same result. I also tried the 'Reset all MIDI drivers' option in General Preferences to see if that did anything. It did not. I don't understand what changed, because this was not an issue until about 2 weeks ago. Any other thoughts?
  4. I'm using a Roland FA-08 as an external instrument, going directly in via USB, no audio interface. As soon as I open Logic, no Projects loaded, the Volume parameter on Ch.1 cuts to zero. This does not happen on any other channel. If I switch the voice on Ch.1, it go back to the normal Level=100, but as soon as I play a key, back to 0. Again, only happening on Ch. 1. Furthermore, this problem is not present in Ableton at all. Any thoughts on what might be happening here? iMac 2015 OS= Catalina 10.15.7 Logic 10.6.3
  5. Hi Team. I'm at wit's end trying to figure this out. Details first: Computer=iMac Retina 5K 27-inch Mid-2015 OS=Catalina 10.15.7 iPad Pro 2018 iOS=15.0.2 Roland FA-08 | System Program 2.03 | Driver 1.0.5 (everything current) LPX 10.6.3 Two weeks ago, I had no problems. Most often, I am using my FA-08 as a MIDI controller. I currently am not using an external audio interface and plug directly into my iMac via USB. I was going to do some iPad production, and set up the External Instrument-Software track in LPX with an Input Monitoring Audio track. The FA-08 was triggering the iPad but no sound was being routed back into LPX. I reviewed my Audio-MIDI Setup, made sure the iPad was enabled and reviewed my audio-MIDI routing in LPX. To me, everything seemed just as it had always been when I've done this before, but now sound was only coming out of the iPad. Below is a screenshot of the Audio-MIDI Setup before I've enabled the iPad. Audio Devices 1 This is not something new, but I though perhaps worth mentioning: when I enable the iPad, a generic iPad icon enables, but the named iPad icon stays below with an 'Enable' option. I've included an image of this below, as well as what my Audio-MIDI Setup looks like. Audio Device 2 MIDI Studio Not being able to get my iPad to interface correctly, I decided to first just make sure everything was going well for the FA-08. So I set up a new External MIDI-Instrument track and Input Monitoring audio track with the FA-08 as controller and sound source. And here things took a strange turn: once again MIDI was being registered by LPX, but no sound was coming in. However, when I added a Gain plug-in to the MIDI chain, I would suddenly get sound, but almost entirely in the Left channel, extremely faint on the Right channel. I've included pictures below of what the External MIDI-Instrument set up looks like. Project Preferences Create New Track External Instrument plugin As I mentioned at the top, I've set up my FA-08 to record, as well as my iPad, previously, and had no problems with Audio/MIDI over USB. But now it seems nothing is working correctly. I have switched through USB ports, even got a new cable to troubleshoot that, same results. Thanks upfront for any and all help that can be provided. I am happy to answer any questions and hope I have not been too confusing in this post. Thanks again.
