  1. OK, in the end I have found a work around, thought I would post it here: 1. Back everything up on something separate e.g. USB 2. When opening for the first time your project that was originally saved on an old version of logic, for some reason that Logic Pro X alone knows, it will appear showing all your regions in the right order and place but they will be blank and it will be called ‘untitled’. 3. Save as (definitely use the existing name, do not change it now) and then in the save window, save as a folder project and import audio into the audio folder. 4. Quit, open up your saved project and go to the project audio window. All the files will have exclamation marks next to them and will be showing the old pathways. Double click one of them, manually locate in its new location and press ‘open’. That single file will now be saved in the ‘Audio Files’ Folder of the newly saved project. 5. Save the project and quit. Move the file from the audio folder of the new project to the trash (it might also be necessary to delete it from the trash; did I mention backing everything up first?) 6. Open the new project again and this time the ‘Audio file not found’ window will appear. Locate the file AGAIN from the new location and press ‘open’. This time, Logic will batch locate all the files stored in that location that had the wrong pathways previously and update the audio window; the exclamation marks will have disappeared. Save. 7. If you originally had audio files in different locations then you may need to repeat steps 4-6 for all the separate locations. This works if you like using the projects with a dedicated audio file folder. Other solutions are available...
  2. Also if I recall correctly logic used to ask when you locate one file if it should use the same location for locating other missing files? Alas, it is not asking this. Very frustrating.
  3. Thanks for the idea, but it is already saved as a folder rather than package structure. I've also tried saving it as a folder project using a different audio folder and copying everything over to there, but it only copied the ones I had already manually fixed. There's still a huge list of files just sitting there with exclamation marks by them and the wrong pathway assigned.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion, but in the audio browser the files are listed along with where logic thinks they are located, which is the old pathway on the PC. Moving or copying the files around the Mac does not change this.
  5. Hello, first post here... After moving an project from an old PC to a Mac, the regions are all there, but blank. Iin the project audio browser they are all listed with exclamation marks by them, as, obviously, the paths have changed. I am able to double click each one individually and point Logic to the right place, but for this project (and others), there are hundreds (don't ask!). Is there a more efficient way of doing this for large numbers of files? I can't find a way of highlighting a group at a time and pointing to the folder where all those files are. Normally, when Logic starts up there would be the "Audio file not found" message and from there you can point to the right folder, but this message does not pop up when I load the project; I don't know why. Any help appreciated, thanks.
