  1. sorry for the delay - if I recall - in my case I had a port blocker app stopping things. I turned it off and that fixed it.
  2. OK so I copied both folders from my other LPX 10.7.4 To the new Computer like: /Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples and /Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments And then restarted in the sound Library manager it does not reflect the new sounds... Is there someway to force a refresh so it can see all the new sounds? I am trying to avoid downloading all the sounds from scratch...
  3. simple question - where are the exs samples (called sampler?) stored (just default location...) on m1 Mac for LPx 10.7.4? ok I think I found them here: HD>LIBrary>APP SUPPORT> Logic>EXS Factory Samples
  4. I purchased a MacBook Pro 16" M1 with Max Chip. I loaded up some of my old Legacy Logic Songs that used to show fairly high CPU usage on my very old macs (around 24 track audio - under 20 sample instruments and basic plugins) ... The same songs show in the LP CPU monitor as just a few percent (2-4%) at most. This is pretty amazing! I imagine that the original M1 or the M1 Pro chip would be more than enough for most Music needs?
  5. Since I had these for a long time (before they broke) I just got a new pair of Sony MDR7506. The first thing I noticed was that they seemed somewhat bright as triplets mentioned. Q: I seem to recall from many years ago that new headphones needed some playback hours to "break in" and then the highs would calm down after a while. Am I nuts - or is there some truth to that?
  6. Thanks triplets and Mike - that does make good sense.
