  1. Yup - that's the trick! Click, press Control and drag - worked perfectly!! THANKS - a very quick resolution.
  2. Sounds very easy. But when I press the control key in the automation line, I get a context menu!
  3. First off - I am using Logic Pro X 10.4.2 - because I don't want to go thru process of buying/updating the 64-bit plug-ins. My issue may be present in the latest version of LPX. The sounds of one of the plugins is not mapped correctly - e.g. note D generates F tone. To overcome this, Initially, I isolated the MIDI track with just that note and inserted Apple's Pitch plug-in; shift the pitch by -300 cents in the plug-in interface. However, later discovered that I need to shift the pitch up by +200 cents. Rather than creating another track (with the new note) along with another instance of Pitch plug-in, I tried to automate the Pitch parameter. Usually, the automation parameter values are changed by dragging the value up/down - but the cannot set the value to the desired number. The value resulting from dragging operation jumps and could not set to exact value (e.g. -300 or +200). Is there a way to enter the exact parameter value on the automation line? Many thanks.
  4. Sorry, Gacki, if I was not clear. Changing preset to 128 (or higher) does not work on ANY channel for Proteus/3 for me.
  5. On all channels, I am not able to change Bank to 1 Patch 128.
  6. Still the results. Program changes for Channels 14 & 15 transmitted correctly to B0:5 and B0:70. But for Channel 16 B1:2 is transmitted as B0:2. Can this be a limitation of Proteus?
  7. Performed the steps you listed above - except I copied the Proteus 3 instrument from the .zip file - because we wanted to test Proteus 3. Channels 1 and 2 were set to Bank 0:003 and Bank 0:80 respectively. These two channels transmitted the program changes to the Proteus 3 correctly. Channel 3 was set to Bank 1:129, but on Proteus 3, Channel three was set to 001 (Accordion) - as if he Bank change to 1 was not recognized. Again, thanks for the detailed step-by-step instructions. It helped *ME* to understand the process; but did not help the Proteus!
  8. For the first try - I decided to use my multi instrument, changed the Bank Message to CC32; and still not able to select Chanter Pipe. Next, I copied the Multi Instrument from the file you gave, but did not clear the names in Bank 1. In this instrument, Bank 1:001 maps to (129:Sundreem); but the synth is set to Bank 0:001 (001:Accordion). This is getting to be quite an exercise! Thanks a heap for working with me thru this.
  9. Sorry, Gacky, to drag this on... Based on our conversation so far, I have set the Bank Change setting in environment to CC0; and also deleted the MSB/LSB entries in the Event Editor - so, it has only the Patch Number entry. But alas, still no resolution for Channel 3, where I am trying to change to Patch 129 (Chanter Pipe).
  10. Gacki - the screenshot shows that Bank 1 is specified in the entry for CC0 (at 1 2 1 1); and the CC32 entry is deleted. The one you highlighted in red circle is for the patch number. Am I missing something?
  11. As you see, I have removed CC32 in the event list, combined names of patches of old banks 0 and 1 into bank 0; and changed the patches in bank 1 to patches 128-190. Still, MIDI channel 3 still set to Bank 0: Prog 1 (Accordion).
  12. Your understanding is correct. I tend to use all 16 MIDI channels, each having it's own dedicated patch. I double checked the instrument; and all channels are enabled to receive MIDI controller messages. The CC 0 value is set to 0, CC 32 is set to 2, and program is set to 1. According to the environment, patch 129 (ChantlerPipes) should have been selected. It looks like the Bank change (to 2) in this case is being ignored.
  13. My mistake. When the Proteus 3 env was imported, it has only two banks defined - 0 and 1. I added Bank 2 (with the patch names you see in the screenshot) but forgot to change the bank change to "Controller 32". I just set it to that value, but did not make any difference. BTW, the switch between Bank 0 and Bank 1 work correctly on channels 1 and 2. If only I can get channel 3 to behave....!
  14. Thanks. It worked perfectly. One more (and last) question w hile we're talking about Proteus 3 and Bank/Patch changes... The 2nd screenshot (above) shows that on Channel 3, I am trying to select Bank 2 : Prog 001 (mapping to Chanter Pipes) - but on the synth, it changes to Bank 0 : Prog 001 (Accordion). Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong? I have attached the Bank 2 patch names that I have defined. THANKS, again.
