Sorry, it looks like the problems vary between plugin manufacturers. It does seem odd that some of them are not affected. Makes it look like it's something they could fix rather than iLok?

Maybe he was only talking about Metric Halo plugins? He posted yesterday evening on the Metric Halo email list and on the GS Metric Halo thread.

Is this still a problem with the latest verison of iLok Licence Manager? I'm asking because I saw a message from my interface manufacturer (Metric Halo, who also do plugins with iLok) that it's fine as long as you update your iLok Licence Manager to the latest version.

Thanks David. It must be a nightmare developing and updating software that you know is used by millions of people - especially when high-profile people or websites spread false claims of bugs which are in fact either highly specific to their setup or not even bugs at all.

Some interesting midi-related bugs reported over in GS: ”I'm noticing a lot of bugs when switching around tracking MIDI synths and software instruments. Little things like the track that I just disabled record will play MIDI notes like it is enabled. Re-enabling and disabling a second time works. Inspector not updating every time I switch tracks and showing me old track info. All of this cropped up with 10.8.” Anyone else had these issues? I’m away from my machine at the moment.

oh, and that key command for desktop etc is also very useful, apart from when I need the key for something else. That Fn key, for example - I use it all the time for the character viewer, for inserting special symbols and emojis, so there's no way I can re-assign it to something else. And the F3 key is set to Mission Control by default, so there's no need to re-assign that elsewhere as far as I can see. Have you tried using the "spread with thumb and three fingers" gesture to reveal the desktop?
