  1. Good lord. I just opened a Project I transferred from another computer and found it horribly out of sync. When I started to check the others, they were also out of sync and I freaked out! All of the newer ones that I recorded on the computer I transferred to were fine---the older ones were not. This helped! Thanks so much. I don't understand why it did, but it did! EDIT: (if it's any help to anyone, I was transferring projects from Logic 10.4.8 to 10.7.2. My Plug-In Latency in 10.4.8 was set to all, in 10.7.2, it was not)
  2. Thanks David. Is there any way to both reverse and slow down a self-recorded clip of audio?
  3. Was messing around on an old mac with an older version of Logic. Just learned how to reverse and slow down an audio clip on a loop in an old project and wanted to do the same on a newer project I am working on in 10.7.1 Can't seem to get the selected audio clip to slow down, as there is no speed option under Reverse on the channel strip. (Rising guitar is an audio loop from the older version, Eighties Goth is audio I recorded from the newer one.)
  4. Thanks again Atlas. I hear what you are saying and it is helping me narrow it down. I opened a new empty project to test it like you did and noticed my project tempo stays the same as the previous one I was working on, in this instance 177bpm. Somehow, I must of changed a setting and have to figure out out how to reset it in order to get the Drummer's preset default tempo. edit: Success! I went under Preferences/General/Startup Action and selected Create new empty project. The tempo changes when I select a New Drummer. All is right with the world. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for replying. The first time in the lesson when I notice the Project Tempo did not change was under CREATING A DRUMMER TRACK: right under the pic under number 2, the last two sentences of the paragraph says: Then later on under the pic at 4 under the section Choosing a Drummer and a Style and at 7: Again, not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Really enjoying and getting a lot out of David's teaching style and was curious if I messed with my settings somehow.
  6. Hello, Finally started to start from the beginning of the book and am being (possibly too much) meticulous in following along. Learning a lot of simple things that would have been helpful if I just started to read and learn like this from the beginning! I just started Lesson Two and noticed that when I switch to a New Drummer, the Project Tempo stays the same and does not change like in the lesson. I know this is a minor thing, but it's bothering me and I would like the project tempo to change when listening to a New Drummer (like Rock was listed as 110 BPM and Funk was listed as 95 bpm) I thought it might be the Tempo setting in the LCD menu, but it set on KEEP in the book pic and when I messed with it and changed the settings, there was no change in tempo when selecting a new drummer.
  7. Thanks! I will try both of these tips---very much appreciated
  8. Trying to get a military/marching band type snare roll (like this): Found a "Scottish March" sample that I've been messing with, but I wonder if there was any way to program Drummer to do one? (Like deselecting everything except snare, setting it to "complex", choosing 16th notes with Swing half--way.) Is there someway to coax a snare roll out of Drummer?
