  1. did you try to install the garageband ? thats what helped me: the garage-band folder in HD/library/application support was missing even though the logic sound library was present, logic did not recognise it without the garage-band folder (and subfolders with samples etc)
  2. yeah, same here, but did you try david's suggestion: There's a preference plist file inside the Logic Pro package. More info in the following thread: How to stop Logic downloading Essential Sounds i just didn't have the time to get into that yet. my logic is now working fine without endless searches for nonexitingsamples, so I'm already glad. but i have to get into our problem one day
  3. well, all seems to be fine, but the options in the sound library menu are still greyed out, i'll keep you posted
  4. SOLVED! the garage-band folder in HD/library/application support was missing even though the logic sound library was present, logic did not recognise it without the garage-band folder (and subfolders with samples etc) thanks a lot for helping!

  6. There must be a file in logic that points to this (non existing) location. but i cant find it. do you know where that file is?
  7. oh yes sometimes, logic than asks: do you want to install a helper, but when you click "yes" nothing happens again
  8. we cant access that option because it's greyed out. unfortunately that happens when you have to start logic with "ignore missing sound library"
  9. ok, i run logic 10.5.1 but i don't see any other download options apart from the latest that requires OS11
  10. yes, i removed a partition from my drive without deleting the data. it was too small for the complete logic, so i had to change my drive from having 2 partitions into 1 partition
  11. ok, but do you think that would solve the sound library problem? by the way, i run mojave 10.14.6
  12. hello i have exactly the same problem as frank just posted viewtopic.php?f=1&t=160768&p=843973#p843973 david: the problem is that we cant go to Sound Library Manager because all the options are greyed out. and i cant download garageband because i run 10.14.6
  13. when I open logic i get : The Sound Library directory could not be found. Connect the drive ‘STOCKAGE’ containing the files and try again, or start Logic Pro X without the files by clicking ‘Ignore’. the only option that works than is ‘Ignore’ and than in the menu options every sound library option is greyed out, so i have no possibility to access, change, update or install a sound-library. my sound-library is in the expected location: MAC OS/library/application support/logic The disk STOCKAGE does not exist any more. so i renamed my MAC OS disk to 'STOCKAGE', but that doesn't change anything. so I'm looking for the file that points logic to the disk STOCKAGE and change that, or any other solution logic 10.5.1 build version 5229 - sound library 2324 (21 september 2021) MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) 10.14.6 (18G9323) mojave
