Dear music family. I have a MacBook Pro ver. 10.14.6 (18G9323) Mojave. I am using Logic Pro X Ver. 10.5.1 Question: Is there a higher version of Logic Pro X Available compatible with my OS? Is there any value for me to software upgrade to Catalina? Any downside? People scare me to do this software upgrade. (IDK) Secondly, what is the latest version of Logic Pro and what kind of MacBook do I need?

Yes, you are right sir. I had done differently. But it still helped. I was able to deal with my project. Now to get mack my Cotrol Surface back, any suggestions, please?

OK, I will check again dear. I went >>Prefrences>>control surfaces> then went "Disable" And a checkmark appeared. May be missing something. Can you please mention this procedure again, in case I am missing something, PLEASE?

So as per my picture right now "Preferences>Control surfaces are disabled" yet the control surface is working. Is that normal?

And more thing, out of curiosity I turned on Mackie control surface. While all are disabled, it still works. Is that weird or am I missing something?

Very strange, I just checked and found out that my "bypass all while in background" was not checked. But now I realize that I need to do that every time I turn on logic?

Looks like I jumped the gun too fast, this morning I woke up and my project is doing the same thing as before. So sad. I want to add a small video clip but I'm not able to ask the total limit is 1.95 MB

Thank you for your response. No, I did not try that for the reason I was too scared. I also wrote to MOTU support, opened ticket but that was useless, they never responded. But I have a new development a member recommended me to go to logic pro x preferences and disabled control surfaces. I did that and after that my projects are working fine. I will keep on aggressively using my DAW, and as soon as I feel sure & comfortable about the reliability, I will take the next step. As I eventually I do need to use my magic control surface
