  1. Yes... You really have to SHOVE those things in. Quite concerning the first time you do it.
  2. No, ethernet. Works fine. Even with the node performance meter up to about 70% (not that I stop there, that's just all Logic decided it needed.)
  3. No need for a manual. There are easy to follow graphics (very IKEA-like) inside the removable door/side of the G5

    register???

I called Apple to register my Logic and they said that as long as you have an XSkey, you are considered the 'owner'. No plus side to registering. Nothing free, no special support... No big deal.

    Downsampling

You can convert them in the Audio Window (Apple+9) by using the "Copy/Convert file(s)" function under the "Audio File" Menu. You can then choose a sample rate for your files. I believe that you can select more than one and get the job done fast.
  6. I'm using an iBook G4 1Ghz as a node to my G5 and it works great. Supposedly you need gigabit ethernet to run a node, but that isn't the case. Super easy to set up and it works... What more can I say?
  7. You do realize that with a 3 button mouse this is pretty well standard, right? Hit 'esc' and then right click on the sissors (this assigns any tool to the right button). Now your left click is the selection tool, right button is the sissors, and hold the control key to use the magnification tool. Isn't that a little easier?
